so far so good, gold is finally coming down with accelerated strength as it should days ago.

euro is coming down and breaking uptrends. Finally it is starting to move the way an impulsive leg should.

hopefully this should be strong enough to turn the recent trend in oil back to bearish territory.

Yeah. I have all my shares still. Was out with the family today, so didn't do anything with it.

I bought it originally $6.54 I think, then bought some more at $6.25 and it continued to go down. LOL. I haven't checked it since this morning, so hopefully it's up above my break-even point. Hahah.

As for HOD, bought at 11.90 and have been waiting patiently for it to break even...again, haven't checked this since this morning so I'm not sure where it is at...

well tomorrow is holiday I will be out again with family going to the zoo

but looking at the charts, good news as the US dollar index put in a engulfing bar on the daily chart which signals at least another move higher

and both gold and silver both dropped an advance bar to the down side on the daily as well which also signals furhter weakness ahead.

so I fully expect we will see some over extened momentum from todays action.

still expecting 67 oil target to be reached. gold back to 915 and silver at around 13.30s

all eyes will be if the US dollar index can finally break above 80.80 which is nail in the coffin for the rest of the market.

now you ask, dam if oil is going down then what about NG

but if you recall, when everything went down NG actually went up.

many reason surrounding NG inverse relationship is because NG is really undervalued and over sold. Its merely playing catch up, while some days it does follow oil but it can really move on its own as well.

Not to mention the article I posted which suggested it is a good play to short oil and long NG as they ratio is off the cliff so they will both come down and converge back to a ratio of around 11 which means NG will go up and oil will come down

the 3.80 held to the tee so now that is back to 3.88 I'll use 3.80 as a stop anything below may warrant an exit strategy quickly. otherwise hold in attampt for another crack at 4.50s or similar to the hui/HGU play last week that if NG does make it to 4.50 I would sell half and keep half for next target to around 5-5.50

notice it has broken a nearterm down trendline, MACD positive divergence. I expect it to start testing 80.70-80.80 again. but if it does dip lower I view any weakness as buying opporunity. Yes that means any oil, market or gold rally is viewed as shorting opporunitiy

Upon waking up and seeing oil up $2 its now back to 69.49
just tank a bit more and hold that price for Thur open so i can sell.

seems like so many forces against oil: weak USD, nigerian attacks and positive inventory news

ok let see what today looks like.

so far from the past few days I have been suggesting I still expect oil to head lower and it did give us quite the show managing to touch all the high points before finally dropping below 69 again. So the shorting opportunity above 70 may have been gone now.

from the chart, it appears technically everything is finally looking better, it does look like a H&S pattern may be in play and if so the break below 68.50 neckline would suggest target to about 63.50 but with STOCH being oversold, again dont be surprised oil will continue to grind higher than fall sharply, grind abit back higher then fall sharply.

nearest heavy support will be at around 66.50-67 expect some fight here before it heads lower

as for gold, same thing, pushing everyone's patients to the limited. however in simple terms the 942-945 area continues to be a great wall stopping gold multiple times in the last week, the purple line which was the down trend line when broken to the upside would be bullish, but gold manages to find its way back down it so resumption of bearishness, also the red line which was an uptrend line is now becoming a very good resistance as well. expect gold to continue to head lower over time, first taking out 925-927 for good, then 913, then 890 of course that would mean price will also bounce at those level.

and finally the US dollar index. I expected it pull back before shooting higher, I just didnt expect it would pull back that much before shooting higher. and so finally it made its pull back and eventually should touch the upper down trend line. again over bought conditions could slow things down a bit meaning another pull back? if so I expect it to be minimal, and a higher US dollar index will obviously translate to a lower stock market, oil and gold.

NG is not doing any thing right these days. the very obvious trend up that made lows at 3.25, 3.50, 3.55. 3.87 is now giving way and unless it completely show some sign of life by getting back above 3.87, then I may have to call a trend line break here. what does that mean?

well breaking this up trend line is bad. meaning the 4.57 would confirm it as a double top. This will have a strong push for NG to hit 3.25 again and possibly lower.

remember a while back when I say how familiar the NG price was bottoming compare to oil? USO chart did the same thing when it was bottoming at around 30 then after breaking an uptrend line at the time it headed for about 22 before finally marching to 40 recent highs.

if NG (UNG) follows the path like (USO) then might as well be patient and wait for a lower NG. of course NG shouldnt crash in one day, it will most likely bounce off levels like 3.50 and 3.25 the same way oil will bounce off 67, 65 and 63.

the DOW what a down day, taken out the low of the previous few days.

now something to think about it is also forming like a head and shoulder top with 8600 left shoulder, 8875 top and near 8600 again just a day ago put it a right shoulder if DOW breaks below 8250 then watch out, it will be an obvious target to about 8875-8250=650 so 8250-650 = 7600 DOW

lets take out the 8250 support then projected target DOW to 7600

of course i dont think we will take out 8250 today either its going to be a slow process over the summer. keep in mind DOw is sitting at its 4 hour 200 EMA so there should be some rally right now imo

when 8250 is taking out, it will turn into a resistance the only way to bring DOW back to life that there is higher highs to come is DOW needs to break above 8600 but the longer it stays under it the more I think our down leg has started. Oil will most likely mirror in the similar fashion

Haha, oh $hit. I was sick on Monday afternoon and Tuesday and never got around to setting my stops on HNU. Oh well, I've only got 500 shares at $5.98 right now. I may consider averaging down if gas reaches $3.50 and then trying to unload on a bounce.

I did manage to exit most of my long positions prior to today's drop as data has been supporting over-bought conditions for the last couple weeks. I'm actually sort of hoping for the bottom to fall out so I can get in to some long-term holds but with all the cash on the sidelines these days I'm not sure if that will ever happen.

Right now just holding a little TLM at $16.52 and a few K shares of UTS at $1.64. I still like them both for the mid-long term and will be looking to average down (or sell and get in again) when the time is right.

I got 2k shares of HNU at the moment at about $6.00. Been holding it for a while. I am going to look for a bottom then buy some more. HNU is so cheap...

If the price does not hold I am just hold it for a little longer than usual. Not to worried about it though.

What is nice about natural gas is the price is so low as it is. Winter comes it has nowhere else to go but up.

As for the shale extraction of NG projects like that take years to develop.
