Alright, I am confused... I guess I picked the wrong time to try out ETF's. Although by the sounds of it, maybe there is never a good time. haha.

anyway, what happened with this split? I have 300 shares of HND and with an average cost of just under $16. I open up the my portfolio today and HND is at $6.55 and it claims the 52 week high is 13.74. I know that isn't right... If someone can help me out here I would appreciate it.

Dont worry they did a split of 1:2

that mean if you were hold 300 shares at Average 16$
Now you are hold 600 shares average 8$.
since today the split occur, usually it take 1 or 2 days for your bank to adjust it. nothing to worry about;)

once completed its top. if wave iii of I is to begin, it should drop more than 75-67 (8 dollars). still targeting 63-65 as long as 73.50 holds.

dont know what a wave iii looks like? think NG selling off over 30 days from 4.16 to 2.41

or think of oil when it first went from 45 to 75 in a bout 2 months without any significant pull backs.

just reminding everyone how powerful wave iii can be.

edit: so far DOW is respecting the 9794 resistance. it got close to 9792.46

I can never be 100% sure, just gunning on what the chart is telling me.

look oil topped out at 75, and with a lower dollar and higher DOW and even gold alike, oil still hasnt come close in breaking to a new high.

so either oil is the leading indicator of what is to come and the other markets are simply over extended and due for a more siginificant pull back or oil is waiting to explode pass 75.

im just not buying the US coming out saying the recession is over when they are close to defaulting on their debt ceiling. i am sure some other crsis is around the corner.

I tried to sell my HND (got tired of looking at it) and BMO wont let me do it online. The system told me HND is not a valid symbol even though i own it in my holdings. I am supposed to call them to sell this thing now. I am going to take this as a sign (wishful thinking perhaps) to hold on to it for a little bit longer.

I have the usual 6000 shares of XIU and contemplating selling because SR is scaring me. But again I am never really too worried about XIU. The recession is over right? There's growth this period right. Time to hold on? :devil:

^ I would sell all your hnu if you can. its at a make or break point, even if NG has bottomed. with the 1 dollar contango, I cant help but believe there will be a big pull back

A complete noob question... How do I enter a Sell on Stop order in with TD?

I just need to put a Limit Price that is lower than the current price. Then in the Special Instructions field, I put in the same price under the Stop Limit price again?

IE/
Current Market Price is 5.90, and I want to set a stop at 5.70 to lock in my gains till the end of the week. So basically, I just enter $5.70 into the Limit Price and the Stop Limit price fields right?

With action direct there are two fields, Stop limit and limit price. The stop limit you would set at 5.70, and if the only price you want to sell at is 5.70 then you put your limit price at 5.70 as well. Limit must be <= Stop price. If you will accept anything below 5.70, then set yout lower limt to 5.60 or somehing.

For example i hold TCW I want to put a stop loss order at $12.00 and my lower limit at $11.50. It gets halted with bad news and re opens at $11. None of my shares will be sold because my lower limit is $11.50.

well looks like again the market is pushing the envelops. expected oil to reach between 70.5-72 for a good short. it over extened and appears to breakout but so far barely contained under the down trend line that was setup by 75 and 72.9 oil. All eyes is on the dollar, no dollar bottom, oil will continue higher.

if 75 remains a top and 72.90 is wave II, then price must turn around now, but we are so close to a make or break level for now still remains at 73.35-73.50. this level must hold imo for oil to remain bearish.

gold isnt breakout the way it should now that price is hovering above 1000, however its now within an up channel. as long as the dollar remains calm on either direction. gold will be contained within this channel as well. looks like gold's make or break now lies at 1000. again I would only swing trade gold short near its high and buy near the low of the channel until further signs that a top is in on the higher time frame.

finally the dollar. while it made lower lows. it did not sell off either. it is sooo close to the nearby major support at 75.90. I think it touched 76 on london open. Today is the 17th. Cyclist called a dollar bottom on this date. We will soon find out just how much of a bottom this is. Its logical to assume we are near. And down side or spike I would call it could be short lived. IF there is a sudden sell off I expect a full reverse to put a floor in place. Again key number is 75.90

and when the bottom is in I expect the dollar to at least shoot straight ahead to test somewhere near 78. why? 78 will be the make or break to confirm dollar's bottom. even if there is a lower dollar ahead, I think the 78 area is just too important not to be re-tested and a 2 pt rally would do quite the damage in terms of a sell off for oil/gold and possibly dow if you know what I mean.
