ignore the drop if you wish to buy I think its time to load up

either 0.25-0.28 is the range I see the bottom to land at

why?

because those are both 62% and 50% retracement fibo

it should hold, knowing that ever since wamuq bottomed at 0.022
it produced a 62% retracement from 0.146-0.07

and also a 50% retracement from 0.208 to 0.135

now it peaked at 0.44, I expect a 50%-62% retracement which is around 25-28 cents.

its 1 year anniversry since their collaspe. some speculate a settlement will be done or or before.

I am not sure legally they have to do anything on that day, but it sure fun seeing the share rise this past week.

ok after this morning. I will be flying out east for a week. so no post for a week. Hopefully things will finally start to move favorably while I am away. Starting to get tired of the flat corrections of late.

looking at oil isnt it wonderful price still has not break the 73.3-73.50 resistance since I last mention it two weeks ago? Looks like Oct price has expired and chart should be reflective of November. Contango is so small that you cant even tell the roll over took place. Oil continues range bounce between 69-72 all the while waiting for the important dollar to bottom. And I think that is exactly what it is trying to do, as soon as the dollar begins to move in a big way, you will see oil finally roll over.. that is down. I veiw any upside as limited again anywhere from current levels to just under 72.50 since that is near the 78.6% fibo. given if the previous 73.30 is the top of an ABC correction or wave II, the last drop to 69 could be viewed as sub wave I of III, I expect oil to reach no higher than 72.50. Eventually the uptrend line support just above 69 will crack. and the free fall begins. Just be ready and hope your all aboard near 72-73. Remember tight stop above 73.50

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/oil092309.jpg

gold is some what producing a similar trading pattern with oil, but looking at the weekly chart. notice we have a spinning top? its not often we get a potential reversal pattern on a higher level time frame. I am still expecting once gold tops out of its own, it will roll over hard and begin a drop fest. But given gold's unique characteristic, its anyone's guess where the top is. Again with COT at record short contract levels. when things begin to move, expect volatility in both directions.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/gold092309.jpg

and the dollar, I suggest 76 may be the bottom and even if it is broken I dont see too much downside. and so far price did in fact got below 76 but only to test the 75.90 major support. we got that. Lets hope this is it, as I am starting to see alot of positive divergence popping up on many time frame. I am expecting the dollar should begin to rise quite soon. The long megaphone descending pattern only tells you eventually it will crack to the upside. starting 77, then 78. I would view any immediate sell off as head fake.

for NG. unless oct price (which hasnt expire yet even though we are trading nov prices) does not break above 4.16-4.38 I will not turn bullish at all.

with a huge gap /contango what ever you want to call it to fill. I expect NG to at least sell off (november contract) that is all the way to 3.60 I am expect hnd to get back to 8-9 dollar range at the least.

trade at your own risk, definately not for everyone here.

Somethings not right with NG. Nov contract is up 0.14 right now .... yet with th storage capacity nearing full, the contango btw Oct/Nov, fundamentals still being bearish .... all signs point to NG going down.

Yet Nov has shown trememdous resilience and as the spot price moves, Oct/Nov contracts are moving too.

A week left till Nov become front month and spot price has a 0.95 gap to fill .... you would think HND now that it trading 100% Nov would have 4-5 successful up days.

Yet its holding firm .... my gut something is wrong here. Maybe the markets just don't give a fk that capacity is near full, that fundamentals are crappy. Since when are the markets rational anyways....

I'm still holding half my position in HND and i hope im wrong and NG does go down ....but damn this is nerve racking especially since my gut is saying something just doesn't add up here.

welp we have a H&S breakdown for oil below 69.50, looks like this will setup another 4 dollar min. I think finally geez we will see the 65 oil I was talking about

HOD holders if you got in 72-73 as I suggest. HOLD ON, dont sell until at least 65 range, then sell half or do what ever then

this break will be pretty powerful, because not only did it break down from a H&S pattern neckline at 69.50 but it also is imo sub wave III of I which is often strong.

Highlights Speculative accounts are selling oil after today's inventory data that show big builds across categories. Crude oil stocks rose 2.6 million barrels to 335.6 million in the Sept. 18 week with gasoline stocks up a very steep 5.4 million barrels and distillate stocks, already badly swollen, up another 3.0 million. A positive, though, is strengthening demand for gasoline, up 4.5 percent year-on-year and reflecting lower prices but also hinting at a strengthening consumer. Refineries, which are complaining that margins are thin, operated at a moderate 85.6 percent of capacity. Oil fell $1.25 to $69.25 in immediate reaction to the data.

for wamu holders.

current outlook I remain bullish as the 25-28 cent range is base meaning higher highs coming.

BUT

if 25 cent support breaks. then the alt path means the 44 cent is a wave 5 top. which is a larger wave I, the retracement could be as steep as 13-20 cent range since that is the wave 3/4 range.

as long as 25 cents hold, I would entertain higher highs coming. otherwise use that as your exit strategy.

SilverRex

NG just doesnt want to come down. regardless I can see it doesnt have to move with the market. as long as oil shits the bed I can only see NG doesnt have much room higher to go.

all the while for those that are completely washed away with hnd. one of my suggestion if you cannot stomach this area is to either reduce your holdings or sell some and move it into hod. hod is more predictable imo

davidI
09-24-2009, 01:26 AM
I use IB. It's been good. Lots of paperwork at the start but once you're running it's plenty cheap. Not a good brokerage for playing penny stocks and whatnot as then you're paying 0.5% of total purchase price, but for the higher priced players it's awesome at $.01/ share. I think there is a minimum cost / month as well, but at the rate you trade it's no big deal. I think real-time level I quotes on the TSX are $6 a month or something too. It's all on their website...

I use quest trade Pro platform and have no problems with it. Level 2 quotes all real time streamingl. Its 100 a month if you have under 30 trades a month, but I am alwas way over that anyway so...

Also the fees are all flat for any amount of shares. I remember with td paying 300 a trade!]

The only downside to Quest is that the platform can not do API trading which is no big deal for me or any of you from the sounds of it...

Anyone have a prediction on which direction oil prices will go today?

This from the Wall Street Journal:

In recent weeks, the oil market has reacted fleetingly to the oil data, taking its cue from equities and the dollar, said Tim Evans, an analyst at Citi Futures Perspective. "We don't know yet if this time will prove different, but we do see a very clear downside risk for crude oil if the equity market were to pause for correction, or the U.S. dollar were to rebound," he said. Those factors, along with weak demand and flush supplies, could set the stage for a $15 a barrel selloff in crude, he said.

Pretty much dead on to expectations.

Edit: HND holders can't catch a break, 2BCF under so the price decides to move up further :banghead:

suddenly a $3K loss in HND doesn't seem so bad.. it looks like Nov NG contract might hit $5 at this rate..

I know, I feel like I should sell as HNU keeps running up and HND keeps dropping my portfolio value even when everything else is going up. Sucks, I'm only down $1200, but still its a big loss to take.

i was looking at thinkorswim.com, it looks really good but they only take US residence! :(

I just noticed that there is a canadian version, but with the TD merger they just did, they not opening new accounts at this time, it sucks cause they have a nice trading platform and a black berry app too, which is cool!

I use TD Active Trader Platform, I like it.
You have to have more than 30-60 trades per quarter to qualify and it costs $100/mth. The trades costs $9.99 flat.

For me I make more than 150 trades per quarter, so the monthly fee is waived, and with 150 trades my commission is $7 flat.

You get real time, level 2, real time profit and loss per trade displays, after hour trades, all sort of trading options vtso, bracket orders, etc. And since I bank with TD too, transfering money in and out of my accounts is simple. You get good USD exchange rates when buying US stocks, all sorts of other little benefits. I think if I use my margin I pay prime (2.25%), etc.

that sounds good! so for after hours you can trade till 8pm and don't have to call in, right? and the fee is the same...

but what sucks is that untill i make 30 trades i have to pay the regular commission fee and the 100$ a month?

yah, you need 150+ trades per quarter to get your fees waived and to get $7 trades.

Yep, after hour trades I don't have to call in. After hours only applies to the US markets, and the volume is lacking after close, so its sometimes hard to fill orders.
