So what's the prediction on the price of WEE after this news release? They halted trading at open today because of the release, so here's hoping it takes a big jump. I'm in at 2.27 and was sweating a bit when it had dropped down to 1.5x range last week.

Nope.

If this is the largest in history, it just makes me wonder who's manipulating this storage reporting. It wasn't that cold for that long. Where's the factors determining this besides people running the stock up to cash in for year end? Someone explain.

ok so oil has gap up on this chart most likely due to the roll over of next's month contract and most ETF are trading well into the feb contract. I was expecting oil to hit at least 75 and so we got that. but depending if the dollar has topped or not. Oil may still find abit higher.

because I wrote oil is bearish I do not expect it to go to far higher. I'll focus on the feb contract price of 75. it will begin to look good to short anything above 75+

the only thing is if the dollar is to sell off for a retracement, this could mean a christmas rally in oil, gold, dow.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/oil121809.jpg

now looking at gold, it appears the sell off wasnt completed. and with the break below 1110, the next target it was headed for would be near 1070. while price was stopped around 1095 it continues to look bearish. I would entertain gold to have completed a bottom only if it can reclaim above 1110 and hold. and will become bullish if it can retake above 1130. My target remains when the dollar does retrace to a more substantial retracement, then gold should move back to some where in the 1170-1200 range. Then it would begin a multi wave siginificant sell off from there. hence I would not be too worry if I miss the long trade. and so far it appears more difficult to most to swing trade gold in the north direction unless you take your profits sooner rather than later.

gold's risk to 1070 remains until what I said above. But when the bottom is reached. This will mark gold's major leg down sub wave I, we havent seen anything yet.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/gold121809.jpg

finally the dollar, who would have thought that the dollar would have its own wave extension moving higher and higher. It only reinforces one idea. that the dollar appears to have bottomed when it hit 74.20 a little while ago. and now its only in the 1st stage rally. Remember. the biggest stage rally would be the next big move up but only after a wave 2 retracement. Right now sorry for the confusion in the wave counts. But the brown number would be the quick approach and if the dollar had topped. we should see it slowly take out the red up trend line then you will know the sell off has begun and my expecation is to have the dollar hit some where in the 75-75.60 area this will obviously spark a further rally in oil and gold and even equities.

however if the count is incorrect, and the extension of v of (v) isnt finished as in purple color if your following, then the dollar will make a quick retest of the red trend line and make one final thurst up to recent highs if not a bit higher then fall. but end result remains the same. again a bigger wave ii correctional sell off would be my bet. If the alt path comes in, then that would certainly add more selling pressure to gold, therefore gold at 1070 would be quite possible and welcomed (after all it did take out 1110 to suggest so)

The only thing I worry is that while the gold is still bottoming and the dollar is still topping. since the dollar hasnt really fallen yet, but oil has already pushing towards 75+, so if the dollar does fall to 75 on the index I wonder how strong the oil rally would be? because remember a while back based on how oil was moving, the pattern sell off appears corrective and I was targeting 85 oil waiting for a breakout. YOu just have to keep a bit of an open mind that oil could surprise everyone and still look for the breakout? none the less if the call for dollar bottom is in and we are suppose to see a multi month rally, then it doesnt really matter if its 75 oil or 85 oil because the next major move will be down she goes hitting the likes of 55-65.

Interesting. How much historical data in the 'historical'? I mean we're still riding way above typical storage rates despite the huge drop in storage this week.
The question is, are there enough shut in shallow gas that can be turned on to replenish when demand goes up?
One thing working for a correction is the quick rise in price.
Still looking for my entry into HND.

Do you mean what data was used to generate the historic chart? I've got the closing hub price (daily) from 1994 to yesterday, each day of the year over that time period was averaged then plotted; with the exception of January 1st, Christmas day and July 4th.

ok so I believe we have completed a first set of 5 waves up for the dollar. and should began a correction (weak dollar) this week.

hence oil should hover in the upper range with a bit more upside. looking at the current chart. notice there is gap just under 73 which needs to be filled. if oil some how comes down first while the dollar is still up, then it would present a short term buying opportunity back to some where between 75-78 abouts. then I would attampt to go short as long as 79 holds. But since the entire drop from 82 to 69 does look corrective. I am still going to caution oil potentially still have a shot at pushing out for a retest to 82-85 breakout to complete this formation. but until then, for now. we'll just play along and look for either a swing trade up or a long trade short

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/oil122109.jpg

now gold is appear to be bottoming around the 1090s. And similar to oil, if the dollar is indeed topped out short term, then gold should advance a bit here. However I am going to say gold/silver has topped as well, and thus we are looking for a fibo retracement back to some where between 1160-1180 then short again, but I dont think it will shoot up immediately, there are still a few hurdles it needs to climb over. I believe the next time we get over 1130 should do the trick, for now I'll expect a small wave up, with another retracement to formulate a bit of a reverse H&S before we breakout for the expected retracement.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/gold122109.jpg

and finally for the dollar, this entire run up recently has been expected. the only difference is, it had a 5th wave extension. and I believe we have just completed that. and now I expect a healthy ABC correction. because of such extension. my conservative target are now back into the range of 75.6-76.8 abouts in a 3 wave pattern. With this retracement, first we need a break of the obvious up trend line which requires it to take out just under 77.40 to begin more selling pressure, then we look for buying opporunity. because once this retracement is complete the next move up for the dollar will be a sub wave III of I which should be more powerful then what we witnessed recently. That would be the trade you want to be in.

A weak dollar short term will no doubt stirr abit of a rally for the equity market to close out the year. which lines up well for a christmas rally.

ok im going to post the dollar chart first this morning. why? because as I have suggested to confirm the dollar has begun a correctional decline, it has to take out the up trend line yesterday. however it did not break and price still still appearing as if it wants to move a bit higher. the good news, we are very close to a top if we arnt at one. With the current count the only possible case is that the dollar will have one more thurst for a final sub v of (v) as the current consolidation could very well be a wave iv pattern. Or a break below yesterday's support below 77.60 which ever comes first. once the dollar confirms a down move, we should begun to see life in gold and oil but it will just mean we will be looking for a level to short gold and oil instead.

and target will still remain in the 75.5-76.5 area once the downdraft begins.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/dollar122209.jpg

here with oil, trying to fill a gap just under 73 this morning. once compeleted I believe we should see oil move a tad higher into the 75-78 range for a better shorting opporunity.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/oil122209.jpg

and finally gold. as you can see, I guess gold may be after 1070 after all. some times these critical support are just magnets. gold has been breaking every neckline one after the other. which is a good way for swing trade on the short side. again as I said yesterday, unless it can take out 1130, a more bullish move will not happen. I'll rather short every break of the neckline establish or a retest of the circled area will be heavily situated with short sellers. short term gold, I wont go long unless it hits 1070. or a re-enter above 1105 . then work still needs to be done to take out 1130 before a much larger move is warranted.

most of you will see gold very weak right now, but the last two weeks gold has been very corrective, a stronger up move will come be patient.

thats what I thought by upon examining closer, they do move together. meaning, unless oil breaks higher, gas wont go anywhere. a falling oil will eventually drag gas down.

SilverRex
12-23-2009, 07:23 AM
ok so oil filled the gap just under 73 and looks ready to make another move higher, expecting oil to reach some where into the 78s beofre the next major resistance. I would suggest a short trade around that area unless of course it takes out 79, and if the dollar retraces alot from here, then perhaps we cant rule out a breakout in oil still. but for now expecting it'll move higher then short.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/oil122309.jpg

yesterday I was more or less expecting gold to find its way to 1070, it got pretty close, about 1075 close enough. now that basically fulfilled the target of 1070, I now expect gold to find its way back up. first we need it to confirm a short term trend reversal by taking out 1100 then we'll know we've got further up to go.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/gold122309.jpg

yesterday I suggested while im expecting the dollar to drop soon, I was waiting for one more thurst higher, and we got just that, however if the dollar still move above the obvious up trend line, a break below 77.80 is needed to ensure the trend reversal also. until then you can either attampt short with stops above yesterday's high or you can wait for confirmation, but the next major move is down imo. the 75.8-76.8 area would be my target

this may not be shown obvious, excuse me for the small chart.

but just to throw up a point.

you have to forget about how much oil and ng move up and down, and just focus on time

then you will see both oil and NG are moving in trends extremely close to each other. just not rising as much as the same but certainly in a rising trend together and vice versa as it declines.

obviously NG was alot more bearish at the time and hence it was unable to sustain an up trend while oil marched much higher during the may-july rally. so NG made more of a side way grind instead. either way its about time and trend. And no they some time do not move together on the same day, one is lagging the other.

ok im going to throw the dollar chart up one more time. as I will take a bit of a break for the holiday season. so this will be the last post of the year.

The dollar imo has topped and I expect the break of the red trend line soon to confirm. once it starts, we should see a bit of a ABC correction while gold, oil and the market advance further for a christmas rally. but the key is longer term, the dollar should be poised to head higher. So we'll look for a good stop some where in the 75-76 to go long.

but if the red trend line does not falter soon, we can still entertain the idea that its merely still a wave iv correction with one last mini move up to either a double top or slightly higher high. either way the dollar does not have too much room to go.

the fact the oil is back above 75 with the dollar only topping out. I would expect as the dollar drops it should move oil higher to a potential breakout. this would explain why the last few weeks oil's pattern has been looking more corrective to the down side. As the dollar makes a move down, it will be good to look for a shorting opportunity. But even saying so, if you want play it safe. then stick to the currency pair instead. You just never know if oil decides to become decouple from the dollar. War breakout?

Well again have a great holiday season. see you all in the new year.

I am interested in investing in GlobalLive and WIND. Are you publicly traded - Any plans to be? Will there be an IPO? If so when?

Also, do you offer any other investment opportunities for the un-accredited investor?

Thank-you

Thank you for your interest in Globalive and Wind Mobile. We are a private company and so our shares are not currently listed. There are no near-term plans for an IPO.

Best regards,

Anthony

Does anyone know the tickers for Fannie mae and freddie mack?

I think I am going to go long term on them. Maybe 500 shares of each?

after they announced that the debt ceiling for these companies has been extended to infinity?

well it worked for the banks - why not.

Edit:

The Three Amigos?

Shares of Fannie Mae (FNM) and Freddie Mac (FRE) soared to their highest since October on Monday after the Treasury Dept. signed over the checkbook by removing caps on federal support. Meanwhile, some analysts see Citigroup Inc. (C), with both explicit and implied government support, as "The Can’t Lose Trade Of 2010."

So, here is Question of the Day:

Would you buy Fannie, Freddie, Citi, and why?

Hint #1: The pay packages the Treasury announced last Thursday for Fannie and Freddie chief executives consisted exclusively of cash compensation; no shares were offered.

Hint #2: The Treasury Department had to shelve its plans to sell $5 billion of Citigroup Inc. (C) common stock in a public offering just two weeks ago.

Hint #3: CitiGroup, Inc. (C) has boldly gone for a zero valuation allowance since 2006 in its deferred-tax asset; whereas JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) had a $1.3 billion, or 10%, allowance in its $13 billion net deferred-tax asset as of last Dec. 31.

Been watching Citi for a long time now and hasn't done much. Might be worth just chancing it for a long run like you say. Considering jumping in. I wonder what the Fast Money guys/girl are saying about it?

Might be a little soon on the HOD, but I think it's goin for a run soon too.

HND, I have no idea, HNU just keep running and running. When it does pop, it could be drastic.

My 2 cents.

Happy New Year everyone,

lets hope 2010 brings us good fortune.

I just wanted to say, its been a good experience for posting pretty much every day for the whole year in 2009. In a way because this is not my full time job, it at odd times does become exhusting.

And so I regretably have to say, I will not post as often, as expecially if the market is stale and the over all trend or view hasnt changed. What I am saying is, I'll post when things looks interestingly confident in either direction.

so to kick of 2010, heres a quick shot at today's movements.

I believe we have seen the dollar bottomed. and until other wise proven wrong, the dollar is currently either in a flat correction or a retracement and with that, that should give oil, gold a boost.

looking at oil, the only thing I can comment is that since late last year we have seen oil completed a 5 wave strucutre upwards. and unless the oil takes out well above 82, my expecation is to the down side. Obviously will fall when the dollar complete its correction with further advance.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/oil010410.jpg

and gold, since late last year when I suggested that gold had to test 1070, which it came very close and I believe it did just that, gold is now in a mini rally and retracement of its own. I cannot say exactly where gold will be rejected, and so we must watch price at each of the fibo levels between 1130-1170. Similar to oil. this run to the upside will soon end in my believe onces the dollar regains momentum to the upside.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/gold010410.jpg

as you can tell, the dollar has finally broken an uptrend line marked in purple. and with this, I expect a typical ABC correction. Even if the dollar were to suddenly push higher, my expecation for the short term remains down as the dollar should get well uner 77.40 in order to fulfill the least of a correctional lower low. Min target would be around the 38% level at 76.80 but mind you it can be as low as 75.80, but will will soon find out once price hits those area. Worse case scenario could have the dollar retrace as much as 79.6%, but the good news is, once the dollar's correction completes. the next wave up will be strong. a wave III advance which will be stronger than the last run from 74.2-78.40

in otherwords, once the dollar makes a bit of a further drop, its going to be buy on dips, short oil and gold if you have deep pockets. or wait for a a clear signal

looking at the chart, for most of last year, the low 4s were quite the bottom

and I would continue to believe in this the mid to low 4s as a good entry and target between 7-8 dollars.

if you look at the hnd chart, for exactly one year, it has rally off the lows to mid 4s six times.

this will mark the 7th time if history repeats.

This has happened to me at least 3 times. Oil is busting out at the moment so even these bad reports have little impact on the price...
