I'm thinking of doing something pretty risky tomorrow. I'm going to dump a company I know is going up, for a company i think is going up :/.

My plan tomorrow is if TV breaks 1.60 and HS remains the same or goes down, i'll likely be dumping TV and trying to buy another 200k shares of HS.

As for the next week, whenever my rrsp contribution hits my trading account i'll probably double down on blgv if its around 12-14, throw 5g at dash for shits and giggles, and who knows with the rest, but i may throw 10g at pony again. There seems to be some good news about future AECO pricing, and q4 isn't too far away where I expect it to jump back up.

thats my plan as of today for the next week anyway, which changes almost daily at things go up and down lol.

while we have 5 waves up and 3 waves down and it could easily be ready to make a wave 3 move from here, I am being mindful of that gap just under 3.00 and it could very easily give us another 5 waves down for a deeper correction. I will do nothing here but will add if it get under 3.00

Gold

initially gold broke the h&s neckline and looks poised for a good correction after the recent runup. However it quickly recovered and now the verdict is still out. if gold breaks over 1362, then I will expect higher highs to come.

has gold entered a phase where every dip is a buy? feels like it.

i sold about 1/3rd of tv at 1.59 and have the rest seeing if tv breaks 1.62 to sell today.

i bought 85k more of hs at .185. If tv sells and i can get HS cheaper than .185 i'll likely buy more as planned.

HS just announced some news too this morning; doesn't amount to too much at the moment but its positive. More confirmation they're dabbling in MJ management software. Their blockchain plan will be released shortly too apparently.

i'm hoping it pops off close to around 30 cents or so when they release some significant news next.

Another attempt for the breakout. the last dip was nice for me as I was able to further strengthen my position (my top holding silver miner)

it has all the bullish implication for a least a 100% return from current levels. ih&s, cup pattern even EW 1-2, (1-2,1-2)

Its amazing how one person's opinion can move the market like this.

Gold has now morphed into a flag channel. we will now see if the sharp reversal in the US dollar is a head fake or not. Gold is due for a good size correction (if you based on how weak the miners has been performing)

if I have my conspiracy hat on, I would say this was done intentionally for shorts to get out before a massive rally that lies ahead. up until this point gold refused to correct. we will see how the rest of the week goes. for now I expect 1344 to act as support. anything lower than 1325 would paint a very bearish picture. holding pad, and doing nothing.

Not yet, cibc is a total snoozefest on moving money in to a RRSP trading account from a rrsp savings account :(, so looks like it wont show up until next week. Pony likes to surprise everyone and go down to new lows, but its really looking good that 2.05ish was the bottom for awhile. I think it will hold above that level until q4 financials are posted, although this summer may be scary for that stock.

HS had some shitty price manipulation today too. Instinet was doing constant robo selling at the end of day with garbage amounts to lower the close by a penny for yet another day:

Not too worried as the stock lately has been having low volume on asks and strong bid walls most days. The strong ask walls have been fairly high too in the mid 20s.

I sold more tv at 1.63, HS didn't fill my bid at 18 in the afternoon when i tried to buy some more so tomorrow i'll be seeing what looks good to buy (dash is down again, so it might be that), and depending what tv and HS do tomorrow I may sell the rest of tv and move that in to HS. I'm thinking thx to that price manipulation HS might hit 17.x tomorrow again.

GOLD

Still in a healthy rising channel. 1344 backtested acting as a good support for now. so far gold only has 3 waves down, this drop could been still seen as just corrective. the bounce off 1344 is also looks like 5 waves up. I think as long as gold does not close below 1344 on the daily basis, looking at a slow grind back up over the next few days then breakout again

US Dollar

after the dollar breaking down from the massive sloping multi-year neckline, it appears a backtest is in progress. the initial jump yesterday also only looks like 3 waves up. so if it does not roll over immediately, I can imagine another wave higher then the drop resumes.

I guess what this means is to look for an opportunity somewhere in the PM to add to one's position for the next leg up

rising parallel channel? until it breaks down from this channel, I am still leaning towards an uber bullish count to the upside. we had a running flat which gave us wave (II) then wave 1 of 3 of 3 and now 2 of 3 of 3.

alt count (orange) the top yesterday was part of a wave b of (II) and now c of (II) is underway targeting 23-23.5. From both scenario, the trend is still up. the only question is, do we get a steeper pull back or not.

I want to lean towards the no answer because if gold/PM is to make a huge move up, usually (similar to 2016) it doesnt give you must chance to get in and this keeps the bullish momentum and count going for me anyways.

So my friend that live in Toronto across from dash is apart of his neighborhood facebook group there. He says one of the guys from dash just posted on that facebook page that his company just went public on the TSX and if anyone knows any condos in the area that have theaters that can be rented to do a presentation.

We were joking this morning that sounds like an amway style 'buy in to my pyramid scheme so I can get out with all my money' mutlilevel marketing plan. Although joking aside, i guess with a stock that small it doesn't take a lot of people investing to move it.

But then its also down a lot today, and I dont really want to try and catch that falling knife now. I think now if it starts stagnating for movement i might be interested in it.

uber bullish count still if the low holds as a wave 2. So many different variation depends on how one counts the 5 waves up. orange is probable as the jump last week was wave b top. There is a 3rd scenario where the top last week completes wave 5 and metals has only started it's wave 1 or (A) down. Picking where to enter is probably the most difficult part.

Not only did it fill the gap it also sold down under the typical 61% retracement and hit the 78%. For the time being, until it breaks the low at 2.56, I see this as a steep wave 2 correction. The jump today looks impulsive and so I want to believe the wave (2) correction is done and it is prime time.

MJ is near a critical area. if it breaks the low on Jan 12, this opens up 30-50% down to the next trading zone. It would paint a very bearish tone. then again you have to watch it closely to see if the it is a false breakdown or not.

gdx has hit the orange box as wave C down is fully underway. depends if it is extending or not, downside could reach as far as 22.50, at this time I do not want to see gdx break or close below 22.50 to keep the very bullish count alive. Until then, we continue to view this as a good major wave (2) correction.

yes gold has broken down from the rising channel. then again, if the sharp declining wedge breakout doesnt give it boost, I suspect the next low will be around 1330 merely creating a larger rising channel.

with price unable to hold above 1344 does make it appear like it is a legitimate false breakout, however there are also weekly and monthly price action to content with so this week is certainly not over yet. if we do get a bounce off 1330, I will imagine we are setting up the right shoulder, so either we have a date with 1300 gold after all (something I was keen on waiting for until it actually broke out around the 1340 area). a much larger wave 2 then anticipated. Or we keep stepping it up in this larger rising channel and thereby gold needs to give us that push this week preferably above 1352

Feeling better about being disciplined today. Made a buy when my quote was showing 2.17 (got a fill for 2.20 :( ) trying to play a potential backtest/shakeout scenario, and so far it looks good. The backtest lined up perfectly with a fib retracement which is why I rolled the dice before seeing a successful back test (it was a red daily candle when I bought):

MJ shares so far was able to fend off from breaking the previous major low set on Jan 12. ACB also looks like it backtested a previous down neckline breakout. This is a very good risk/reward play as shares are jumping across the broad. A good entry with a stop below today's low would be a good play

great action today in the miner, which suggest the possibility that wave (2) is finished. a new up cycle is beginning. would like to see it get back above the 50EMA over 23.9 and give us the 5th wave to be more confident., alt count suggest we could still see one more 5 waves lower still. However the action on gdxj looks different, I can count 5 waves down with an extended 5th wave so for now I am leaning towards the bottom being in.

MJ as a sector came close to breaking the major swing low set on Jan 12. if it breaks it would probably open 30-50% down to the previous trading range. However the action today looks impulsive off the low.

looking at ACB as it is quite bullish, it got no where near the low on Jan 12 and backtested successfully so far it looks like all 3 wave actions so I am imagining it is in some sort of rising wedge with breakout to the upside once consolidation is done in a couple weeks more

Natgas

after playing the 2.55 to 3.00 bounce and 2.75 to 3.19 bounce. didnt want to touch anything above 3.2 given it's wild swings. Sure enough, while bulls were laughing all the way to the bank when it was over 3.40, it was clearly marked for death. a 5 waves sequence with an extended 5th wave. Now it is coming down pretty hard. given its record, I think opportunity lies when price backtest the red neckline (until it breaks up or down)

Might try this again if natgas can give us <3.00

Weed

Price broke the Jan 12 low. while not every MJ stock is exactly the same, but I think Weed paints a pretty similar picture for most. this is a clear H&S shoulder breakdown, unless price quickly reverses and maintains above the neckline. the longer it lingers below it, the more sellers will come in and the possibility of price reaching back down to the previous trading range of 16-22 will be on most sellers radar. A gap around 24 will be filled first.

Trading these breakdown or breakout are never easy because they only have about a 60-70% success rate. You cant ignore them but you cannot depend on them fully as well which makes it very difficult to trade. Wiser traders will exit and wait for either A). price to drop significantly and buy back. or B) see if this breakdown becomes a head fake and buys back on the next swing low or trendline breakout with stops. I guess there is the C) just turn off your monitor and come back in a few months.

HIVE.TO down 13% today, broke the 21 day MA. Have a buy order in at $1.75 think it will touch down that low?

I suspect it's the markets reaction to FUD (South Korea) and real reaction to USD Tether (if the auditors departure was related to it not being backed 1:1 to USD)

Might be a good buy today, but markets reward patience sometimes too so I'm waiting on the sidelines.

Investing.com app is excellent for my needs for tracking on phone. I keep a small browser window open if I'm on a desktop during the day if I have the time to monitor my watchlist.

Interesting that market is killing MJ stocks, lumping them with Crypto bubble.
As well, US weed operators are getting killed. But in reality, US weed stocks are really low risk but the media has hyped it to epic proportions and everyone's afraid.
But really it's probably more safe to invest there than in Canada which is way over saturated for the population we have.

If you're not in. I would be really looking at buying soon. The second there's some green up movements.
MJ sector has done this before for those who were in 2+ years ago know what I mean. Going from $4 to $1.50 on TWEED (Canopy). I can list more examples. ACB didn't just continuously rise from nothing. There were massive pull backs and if you hung in there, you were rewarded.
Found an old sheet I had in my office showing my order entry for ACB $1.36. If I had the strength to hold that, I'd be in the multi-millions. But sold at around $5 because I believed the "overbought" "market cap too high" statements.
Would I target the big guys right now? Nope. ACB was small when I was trading it. I am targeting small cap MJ stocks.

I am also watching this closely, if it breaks the dec low, then I have to seriously re-assess the PM sector, until then, it also has a similar count a clear abc with 5 waves down. starting a natgas play again. 1 tranche in UGAZ under 70. could still dip lower maybe I'll add another, expecting we are close to a good size bounce then could either sharply reverse to the upside (if this was a sharp 2 down and onto new highs) or another wave lower due to more time to correct after such a good run since Dec

im riding it out. most of my other holdings in the crpyto space are quite small. right now my avg are high 2s, I am still bullish on crpyto over all and buying at 2 and under has been my count for the longest time. it threw a curve ball technically when it had a 5 wave dead bounce.

Crazy Oil is hovering around $65-66 yet the O&G companies like MEG/BTE/CVE/CPG are down ~20% from recent high to what they were trading at when Oil was ~$50... Seems like a great deal now to pick up some BTE at $3.5...

bte

while oil looks steady and can continue to extend and move higher, I just feel energy share hasnt really taken off like it should, it could still very well do this. but I am exiting all my energy shares here. Bte has two count a very bullish 1-2, 1-2 setup or a deeper wave 2 correction back under 3.00. I also want to see oil back test the 60-61.5 area so will take this risk for a better re-entry.

after all my focus is not with the energy sector right now

https://s14.postimg.org/a8ovuyftt/bte_01-17-2018.png

- - - Updated - - -

that is a pretty high target. if 5 wave is indeed completed, I see Jnug back in the 16s

this was my last post on BTE, I knew something wasnt right when oil was making new highs and energy shares just couldnt catch a bid so I sold everything. the alt count is unfolding nicely, it even over shot my downside target. so if energy share is to make a run as long as oil holds above 60 and 70 on the horizon this year, this marks a very good spot. if I had cash I would also scale back in now at this level, but I am waiting to pull the trigger on other sectors as well which offers a higher return for the risk PM/MJ etc

Who's adding HS on here? Slightly tempting.

I'm in wait and see mode for this whole market. I didn't really liquidate anything and i'm trying not to buy more of anything I already own, but I'm very tempted to add more HS if it goes any lower.

I was semi worried because the market as a whole fell enough that it could trigger a long term bigger fall, but after my mining stock tanked 8% for no reason i'm 90% convinced most of the sell off across all markets is idiots panicking. My mining stock had literally no reason to go down. It was slightly undervalued for hte current market already, they're expecting a crazy q4, zinc is at record highs still, stockpiles of zinc are falling like a stone dropped from an airplane, and the company is in real good shape....... and boom, 10 cent drop one morning for no reason.

Why I'm also not too worried about HS's current downturn is because pretty much everyone connected with that company as an insider bought in heavy in to that company all at the same time in January around the 18-19cent mark (from what I remember anyway).

MJ stuff I am terrified of, but I only have a very small exposure there so I dont really care too much.

What I actually want to buy in to again is CJ, as its a pretty good price as long as that dividend is sustainable, which tehre is no reason it shouldn't be at current oil prices. Pony is almost looking good again too; with q4 on the horizon I expect a quick and dirty boost in share prices, but I'd want to get the fuck out of that as soon as it spiked. That company is :(.

I don't get it how MJ is being punished so badly. We're easily 10x lower than the rest of the market per day. Holding. The companies I own could sell their real estate land holdings and be worth more than their stock price right now. Bought them based on their assets, 4 MJ licenses and their known product line. Now with Sessions first and next the market dip, I'm bag holding. People seem so afraid of US pot but in reality, more and more states keep voting to approve. He's a somewhat up to date map of what I am talking about.
http://www.governing.com/gov-data/state-marijuana-laws-map-medical-recreational.html

The states with actual large population bases, are all approving this. To not own a Cali or Nevada producer is a big over sight.
Hoping I can look back in a few years after a big tobbacco / Pharm / beverage company picks up the companies I own. But they probably won't until pot gets classified as a Schedule 2 drug on the federal level.
