I've been burned too many times on earnings reports, regardless of good or bad news. Usually bad news causes an uptick, good news causes it to drop
I figured a 6 percent drop, then a bounce... but I got burned on the bounce today. Can't win em' all
It pretty much has to correct though, too big of a drop today
Yeah for sure! I knew you had GOOS in the portfolio since we've mentioned it numerous times in this thread so I check the prices here and there.
When I saw the drop today, I was like wait wtf? Am I tracking the price on the NYSE? Haha.
Glad you were able to preserve profits! Even though you bought back in after the dip, do you think the downtrend is over?

GOoS will rebound in the next week or so. Got my position in this afternoon. Just hedge funds driving the stock down causing weak hands to sell and get in at these levels.

I actually wanted to get into GOOS but it was already in the mid to high 70's so it wasn't a good opportunity at the time.

Initial hype, then slow bleed after. It will be OK for quick and and out but I wouldn't hold it very long.
What kind of innovation does Levi's have lately? I think they are looking for strategic partners.

This sounds like as good an idea as Playboy ending nude photos. How'd that end again?
When millennials with MBA's infiltrate the ranks of a company a hundred and sixty something years old, you get #Disruption.
I have no idea how the market will respond to this though! Maybe follow a mini version of the Facebook path?

It is sad, but that project always confused me. It felt like it was pretty much the hardest possible route to pipeline. I haven't done a detailed analysis but from Williams lake to Port Alberni has a few obstacles.
Nice little bunp for GOOS today.
Curious if anyone is in SUGR still? Don't think anything changed but sounds like they're expecting their license end of Q1, which is coming up pretty soon.

What a vote of confidence that saying "Fuck off, Canada" bumps a stock +14%.
I bet their largest ever exceeding earnings target report never bumped their stock up by this much.

I think that the risk-reward is pretty high... on one hand, if it recovers even a bit you will make a mint. On the other, you are playing with fire. Plus from what I've been reading there seems to be serious issues with the company.
I think if you had some big balls and money you didn't mind to part with, you could probably take the risk and you might get rewarded
Tough call
Toss a couple bucks at May $37.5 option calls... big win even off a dead cat bounce if this is the bottom

That'd be a pretty major gamble. And if this is the bottom, it's not a dead cat bounce. Dead cat bounce means a short recovery before a continuing down trend.
Even at the price this stock is at now, there is still no support for it as a value buy, it's just sitting stagnant now. Any play on this stock is pure gamble at this point IMO. Given enough time they will probably recover(could be years though), and if the SEC finds anything bad, things will just get worse for this stock. Only thing I'd be interested in at this point, is following things to see if they get an all clear from SEC in the future, and then try to get in early enough in the day to ride it up for a quick flip.

After a pretty nice run up I think this is just a wave B of a very large ABC, with wave C pointing to lower prices ahead. Still expecting the entire sector to either chop or head much lower. e.g. TLRY into the 40-50s, CGC 30-40s. WEED 30-40 etc.
