Yup, what is stupid about PFM is that there was enough information in this thread (and the other one) to indicate that something big was gonna happen on Thursday. And, well, it did.

1.15 billion barrels is big IMO. LMAO.

Oh well, I still made good money on PFM, but damn, this extra few grand would have been nice. ;)

Bad trading day for me today. Had to sell some of my shares at a loss, they where dropping toooo fast. Lost about 1200 today. Ohh well can't win them all. Maybe will have a better day tomorrow.:)

I like reading there, but it seems a lot more intimidating to post there than it is here. So much jargon that I don't understand...

I bought 5K worth of SRU today. Lets hope the news is good. Prediction is that this stock will go up BUT you never know. If i see any movement before the news i might sell. Because if the news is not good this stock could end up at .70 - .79 and i don't want to take that chance.

EDIT: Just read what your talking about on the BullBoards. You have to becareful with some of these so called "Sales people" on there. The guy who says that stock is going up to $10 is blowing smoke up peoples butts. If that was the case instead of me making 1000% on my investment i could wait and make 500% down the road.

Yeah, I don't trust the bullboards 100%. A lot of people don't know what they're talking about. Most of the time people just go in and hype up a stock that they own to try to drive the price up.

I got in SRU at .46 so I'll still be profiting even if it drops between .70 - .79.

BTW.... I transferred over to QuestTrade, and have had nothing but problems since I posted last. First, it took them 2 days to do an online transfer. Then when I asked to switch the funds from my forex to my stock account - that has taken four days already, and I called today and "it's still in progress". :banghead:

Also, you currently (for the last three days) can't login to their financial services site due to technical difficulties. :thumbsdow

Anyone have any other suggestions as to what to look at now?

I missed the boat on the ASX turnaround IMO. Still holding long on LVN and GCE.

One of the risky plays I'm looking at is HMZ Metals (HMZ.to). Ran into some reporting problems, and hasn't posted financials in a long time; but the share price is nice, and may provide some good returns.

Another one I'm looking at is Palomar (PLMA)

Any thoughts?

So much for jumping in at those prices.

All three of those stocks opened up like .25 above where they had previously closed.

I guess the time to have bought them was Friday. :(

Yeah I was so busy at work on friday I missed the e-mail in the morning and didn't check it until after the markets closed LOL I hope I'm not too late.

I bought:
GMC -- 3.55
CZQ -- 3.20.
RGT -- 3.00

I'm averaging down on RGT since I got caught chasing haha

haha I read your picks last night and just checked them all and I thought to myself damn max_boost just made a ton of money today .

I was hoping for denison to make some good gains today since yesterday in the us it went up almost 9% but I guess we are lagging behind.

50% is nothing:rofl: id say 90% of mine is in moly and uranium the rest energy but its paid off so far and there lots mroe to go...even though somedays I lose 10-15% like that its worth the gains that come out in the end.

I wish I had bought more ptu at .84 though :banghead:

Yeah, they moved from the Venture to the TSX. I had some tickers running that just showed the same price for a few days until I figured out that they had moved, and the ticket was still grabbing the old symbol.

Uranium is supposed to be on a huge rally this week!!

RGT, CZQ and GMC all opened $0.25 to $0.60 higher than previous day's closing but it couldn't be sustained and came crashing down.

I was hoping to cash in LOL there is always tomorrow I guess.

Good move to hold on to it. I think you will see some good gains pretty soon with that stock. It's been lagging as of late but come June and July we should see some movement on the U stocks. Hopefully.... I think next month i will invest 10K on U stocks and see what happens. Good luck.

I originally bought 15000 shares. I sold most of them, well, all of them at one point. (Bummer) But if I wouldn't have made that mistake, I'd be up $22,500.00 today. Then I bought back in...

Same here. I am usually not that patient. But lately with the stock market the way it is i am holding on to stocks more and more. Lately they seem to be leveling out and then a jump. Same pattern for the past 2 weeks. Thats why i held on to some SRU and PFM.

Also you guy's should do some research on this company called Tekimira Pharmaceu (TKM.TO) I heard they are waiting for a good news. The stock sits at 1.22 right now. 1 year estimate on this stock 4 to 5 bucks or could be higher.

E*Trade Canada question: When you buy/sell, how long does it take?

Can you sell right away (as in - instantly), or does it take a few days to actually sell (like through online banking with RBC)

Do you sell right away, or does it still take forever? I just have long-term stuff right now, and its all set-up through my online banking, looking at getting an E*Trade Canada, is this a more practical solution if I want to trade stocks right away, every day?

I guess it just takes a few days for it to be reflected in the balance. But, from what I've seen, their website isn't exactly the most advanced, and I would like something with live prices, and an account that will reflect my balance right away - so would E*Trade be a good solution for this? Is it more practical for day-trading than the RBC Direct Investing account? It just seems to me that the RBC account is for someone who had 50,000 stocks in one thing, and is never planning on selling, whereas I need something where I can see the prices and the actual real-time balance, not have sales up in the air for a few days while they process this all.

It sounds to me like you don't have an RBC Direct Investing account. Prices that you see in the quotes are live AFAIK. If you keep clicking refresh, it will continually update and give you the exact date/time of the most recent trade.

The quotes on the main page of RBC Direct Investing are delayed. But each individual stock quote is not. You have to click the stock symbol to get to that page...so, for example PFM may say $1.93 on the main page, but if you click the symbol it takes you to the live quote and it may say $2.02.

If you are using your cash account, the money from sales go into that account as soon as it is processed (that night) ... settlement dates can be confusing. But basically if I sell a stock NOW and the sales realizes $12000 and I told it to go into the cash account, I can immediately buy more stock using the cash account. This is how mine works anyhow...

If you start trying to put and take money into your BANK account from Direct Investing, then it takes days for money to move around and gets confusing.

So, looking at Rolling Thunders (ROL.A) new Q1 results out on May22... this company looks pretty good. With EPS for the Q being $.01, the company should be valued around $1.50 or more. The only bad thing is their production is fairly small, and therefore quite volatile, so maybe that's why the private placement was for only $1.10.

I think I'm into this tommorow.

All equity trade settlements = Trade date + 3. So if your buying something else right away, you're just playing the "my buy settles one day after my sell."

trades are "instant" but settlements are not.

:werd: as soon as my buy/sell order is filled, the updated balance shows in the current positions view....the main view takes days to change as noted and is pretty much useless for daily activity. (waterhouse)

I guess news must be coming and maybe it's not good. More private placement financing at a low share cost or something to that effect. Who knows...

Well, it's sitting at $1.85 right now. I'm going to hold it. Ironically last night I was going to put in a stop loss at $2.00. I guess I would have lost my shares immediately this AM as that was the open.

I was sooo lucky that i took this stock out yesterday. I needed some cash for my trip so i sold PFM and got some good money last night from it.

Than this morning i goto check my stocks. WTF!!! 1.67.. I guess you have to be lucky sometimes. Sold this at 2.19 yesterday.

Still though some of my stocks are down today....
