Anyone have any friends or family that come out of the woodwork and fancy themselves a trader whenever this GME thing comes around?
I’ve got one. He’s a fucking moron, but can’t stop posting a bunch of stories on his social media telling his followers what’s going on (as if he’s some type of educated person - which he isn’t) and why he loves GME.

They don't fancy themselves as traders, rather as apes. If you think otherwise then I think you're missing the point of it all.

BTW: People in the USA want to tend to blame the jobs report, but realistically this is all Japans fault.
They dared to poke the eyes of the fiscal gods by raising their interest rates from 0.00 to 0.10% back in March, and then they did the unthinkable to 0.25% on July 31.
The Yen carry trade always had the ability to destroy not only the Nikkei, but all the stock markets of the world. This would all have been avoided if Japan had simply kept negative interest rates (for the next decade or two preferably)

On a more serious note I’m a big fan of TPZ. Been riding that wave for a while and it’s a unique prop of stable, with good yield and price appreciation.
Saw a $30 TP this week after the crew and bnp Gorr deal.
Only downside is it’s pretty highly valued on a multiple basis, but I think it’s a smart way to play rising gas prices.

Very good question. I use RBF2010 as a high interest savings account and I was wondering the same, is there an alternate with better rates?
Despite the rate reduction, I will likely just leave some cash in there and collect the 3.3% I think it's at currently. I like the idea of having a guaranteed return while maintaining liquidity with a small percentage of my holdings.

It's going to be hard to really do much more than CASH (or equiv.) if you're looking for ultra-stable by higher-ish yields. Potentially laddering GICs but fuck GICs.
CNQ is at 4.25%, not going anywhere, and has been performing well over the last 5 years compared to a lot of companies - I'm not really sure who has been doing as well as they have with as high of yield if that what's your looking for.
