Of course I don't mind but please take into consideration that my posts are not direct recommendations and at no point do I instruct anyone to purchase any. At the time of my posts, I do not personally hold any of the mentioned securities unless stated.
The stocks mentioned in my posts have certain merits to them and would not at anytime post up stock symbols without prior research.
couple of quick points,
1. Pure Nickel is Canada's largest Nickel producer with proven resources
2. completed funding for aggressive winter drilling program
3. Their MAN project looks extremely good with others right behind it.
4. Management runs it as a business which means they purchase assets based on value, not "I thinks"

I find the company compelling now that I'm doing some DD on it. I'm still not sure what to make of them entirely.... they look like they have a strong base, but their P/BV makes me second guess that to a degree.

TAke it for what it's worth.
It's just another consolidation. These corrections are meant to drive investors out of an early bull market. Hang in there. The trend is your friend. There is still tremendous upside.
That's what James Dines keeps saying in the newsletter :D

What do you guys think of this company:
http://www.genesisworldwide.com
some interest stuff going on.. they just listed on tsx as GWI.. and trade pinksheets as GWOW at 0.040
NOW, they are offering a "PUBLIC OFFERING" as for their PR:
Mississauga, Ontario - June 25, 2007 - Genesis Worldwide Inc. ("Genesis" or the "Company"), announced today that it has filed a final prospectus with the securities regulatory authorities in each of the provinces of Canada in connection with its initial public offering of 10,000,000 common shares at a price of $2.00 (£0.94) per share. The offering is being underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters led by Canaccord Adams, including CIBC World Markets Inc. and TD Securities Inc. In addition, the underwriters have been granted an option to purchase up to an additional 1,500,000 common shares at a price of $2.00 per share at any time within 30 days of the closing of the offering.
The Company has applied and has received conditional listing approval to list its common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange. It has also applied for its common shares to be admitted to trading on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange.
It is expected that the offering will close on or about July 3, 2007, and is subject to customary closing conditions
There is alot of talk about this at other forums primarily US based forums, so all this is supposed to happend by July 3rd BUT this is also stated clearly in the PR (for the US guys getting all hyped for no reason):
The common shares to be issued pursuant to this proposed offering have not been, and will not be, registered under the United States Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the "Act") and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or any applicable exemption from the registration requirement of such Act. Accordingly, this press release shall not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy, nor shall there be any sale of these securities in any jurisdiction in which such offer, solicitation or same would be unlawful prior to qualification under the securities laws of any such jurisdiction.
Additional info from TSX:
Genesis Worldwide Inc. - An application has been granted for the original listing in the Industrial category of 36,474,744 common shares of Genesis Worldwide Inc. (the “Company”), of which 30,982,858 common shares will be issued and outstanding, and 5,491,886 common shares will be reserved for issuance upon completion of a public offering (the “Offering”).
Listing of the common shares will become effective at 5:01 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2007 in anticipation of the Offering closing on Tuesday, July 3, 2007. The common shares, other than those which have not been distributed to the public, will be posted for trading at the opening on July 3, 2007.
What do you guys think of this stock? and what do u think all this public offering at $2 means for the pps for this stock? Could it be a good lotto play..

Wait for a pullback. When I say that I don't mean a full on pullback, but a consolidation in the trend.
See how there are about 2-4 days in a row of hard buying, then a week of consolidation where the price ticks down, but there are long wicks on the bottom of the candles?
Thats where you want to buy. Set a stop below those low days.

well they say they will begin clinical trials in 2008/2009... if all goes well and testing shows this to be a viable alternative for insulin, it could become substantial in a few years. So far all tests show that safflower insulin works just as well as pharmaceutical insulin. i'm guessing 2010-2012, it will become big.

Just out of curiosity Canmorite, why do you say that? I know they are more prone to behavioural changes and are therefore more volatile. Any other reasons?
Canmorite
07-17-2007, 09:37 PM
They tend to dump faster then they go up, and are much more volatile due to market makers/large holders then larger pps stocks. Also, flippers.
Also, a large percentage of the companies are corrupt. I've seen great breakouts, then days later bankruptcy announcements. They're very hard to predict and just flat out annoying to trade.
Just personal experiences, I've seen a few make 100K's off these stocks, but these guys are paid pumpers or have an inside line.

HI everyone, Im new to this thread and Im trying to learn a little more about the market and how it works.
If a company is going to be bought out, what would this do their share price? to the "takeover" company share price? Does a buyout just mean that company X proposes to buy all outstanding shares from the investors of company Y for a certain dollar amount?

If the takeover bid has a premium to it, then the shares will rise to that price. Case and point, Alcan.

GOOG -40.8 -7.42%. On better then expected earnings, but they have been doing a lot of spending. Needs to hold $500, it stopped at $510.

SWG. Dropped big earlier on, and then rebounded to twice the price of the day low. Still a lot lower than prevous day's price.

Well it's a double for me and I've traded it twice now but I do have my original position again. I sold everything at .40 but bought back at .35 yesterday. I'll probably sell half again at about .45 and then let the rest ride till I see the results.

Awesome, I have been in and out a couple times, always seems to go down a bit and able to buy back in. We'll see how it goes.

U308 Prices dropped hard today apparently. Analysts predict $100/lb before a turn around.

What do you guys think about Verenex? (VNX), Its an oil and gas exploration company based in calgary with operations in Lybia, France, and Alberta. They seem to be doing quite well with three recent oil finds, and plans to drill 2 more wells in 2007 and an offshore well near france. They seem to have been doing quite well lately, trading at their all time high just monday.
