True, with high # bought/sold a couple pennies here and there = profits. On the other hand, it can also go south. I need to free up some $. Don't want to sell my Starfield though.

Bad numbers for the $CAD. It was the CPI report. Was due for a bounce anyway.
Interesting look from FXdaily.com...

Yeah, all the area stocks are getting hammered. Hahah, crazy. Sucks to be anyone who bought in the last two days on surrounding area stocks.
Most of them down huge amounts. Even NOT was low $2.50 from it's near $4.00 close. The news is no big whoop I agree.
RSG is tumbling from this morning too. Still up on the day though from yesterday's close.
I sold at $.34 but was foolish and bought back in on a dip. But it kept going and is now at $.285. Crap.

NOT , well seems everyone was waiting for test results on Hole #5, for the amount of time we waited for this press release it certainly ticked off a lot of people, we still hold some NOT but sold most of it during the high days. Today I am not even going to watch the slaughter

Wow, the swings in the last 15 minutes on the surrounding plays are just massive. Things that were down $.80 15 minutes ago are nearly recovered. Crazy money made by some folks who took the risk to buy in during the immediate fallout.
Most of those stocks have recovered already. Huge spreads on the high and lows on all those stocks. In some cases more than $1.2 per share. That's crazy.

NOT is at $3.65 now.
It went down pretty low there for a few minutes. $2.50 or something. But seems to have recovered like all of the area plays.

Do you mean you bought it a year ago?
It's not that bad today compared to the recent high. I mean, I think it's only down 0.08 today at the moment.

Ran up big time the last week or so and not it's lost a chuck of that. One can sell and take the loss or wait for a longer term.
I decided there was a certain amount of $ I can 'gamble' with so I am gonna hold.
Having said there. There's lot of MM manipulation, pump and dump, and abnormal reactions (eg. price drop on good press release) etc.

I've always used a Web Based platform at work, and was always frustrated with Questrade's Web Platform. With that said, for those who are interested, they just made available their new Webtrader with L2 Quotestream, insider trades, financials, Java Charts, etc. Just spent some time looking around, and I really like it.

If you had a trade (buy) and they cancelled it - I have had this happen to me. AND, I figured ok, it got cancelled, no big deal. I don't need to do anything. Everything for that entire day was reversed.
Well, next day, it opens, and all the buy orders that were done went through again at the adjusted price!!! So I wind up with 25000 shares of shit I didn't want anymore at a different price than what I had originally paid. Bullshit.
Happened on GLY and that fucking POS went down to 0.03. Gay.

Noront Reports Assays for 5th Hole
DOUBLE EAGLE (Cu,Ni,PGE) PROJECT, JAMES BAY LOWLANDS, ONTARIO
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2007) - Noront Resources Ltd. ("Noront")(TSX VENTURE:NOT) is pleased to announce final assay results from the fifth hole of the diamond drilling program on its' optioned claims where Noront is earning a 100 % interest, subject to royalties, on the Company's Double Eagle project located in James Bay Lowlands, northeastern Ontario. (See press release dated May 27, 2007 for details of this option agreement.)
HIGHLIGHTS
- Hole NOT-07-05 final assay results include; 68.3 meters averaging 5.9% nickel, 3.1% copper, 2.87 g/t platinum, 9.78 g/t palladium, 0.61 g/t gold and 8.5 g/t silver;
- 3 meter section of hole averaged 8.7% nickel, 10.9% copper, 40.79 g/t platinum, 14.57 g/t palladium, 9.39 g/t gold and 8.7 g/t silver
- Hole NOT-07-07 that undercut hole NOT-07-05 intersected the sulphide zone at 73 meters core length and remained in sulphide bearing peridotite until 124 core length, and was terminated at 149 meters;
- Drilling continues to explore new discovery, Hole NOT-07-08 designed to undercut hole 7 underway;
- Detailed ground geophysical program continues;
- Acquisition of additional claims surrounding the discovery area continues around the "Ring of Fire".
Hole NOT-04-05, observed to be the most significant hole to date, was positioned 50 meters to the northeast of Holes NOT-07-01 and 02 (assays previously reported see press release dated September 25, 2007) and was drilled vertically at the peak of a magnetic anomaly to ascertain the magnetic body's more precise location. Nickel and copper bearing sulphides were encountered in a peridotite between 7 meters and 47.4 meters. Between 47.4 and 112.6 meters, massive chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and pentlandite was observed, a short section between 112.6 and 115.6 meters downhole received exceptionally high values for contained metal. This section is described as a brecciated zone consisting of peridotite within massive sulphides. The high grade section was followed by peridotite with interstitial chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and pentlandite to the end of the sulphide zone at 127.4 meters. The hole then entered granodiorite until the end of the hole at 143.4 meters. Assay results from this hole are summarized in the following table:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- from to int. Cu Ni Pt Pd Au AgHole (m) (m) (m) (%) (%) (g/t) (g/t) (g/t) (g/t)---------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------NOT-07- 05 7.0 124.4 117.4 2.2 4.1 2.09 7.13 0.42 6.3---------------------------------------------------------------------------including 47.4 115.6 68.2 3.1 5.9 2.87 9.78 0.61 8.5---------------------------------------------------------------------------including 112.6 115.6 3.0 10.9 8.65 40.79 14.57 9.39 8.7---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hole NOT-07-07 has recently been completed. This hole is positioned at the same collar location as holes NOT-07-01 and 02 (a few meters away to allow for drill setup), however the azimuth was set at due east, to undercut Hole NOT-07-05 from the west. The initial dip of this hole was set at -45 degrees. The hole entered the peridotite bearing sulphide unit at 73 meters core length and remained in sulphides until 124 meter core length for a drill intercept for 51 meters. Chalcopyrite, pentlandite and pyrrhotite enriched sections have been reported in this drill hole. The latter sulphide intersection is believed to approximate true width.
The aforementioned assay and sample information, as well as geological descriptions are taken from drill logs as prepared by site geologists for the drill program, Dr. Howard Lahti, P.Geo., of Fredericton, New Brunswick and Mike Kilbourne. Billiken Management Services Inc. is providing all services on site for the Noront Double Eagle Project, from their base camp at McFaulds Lake.

Awesome article from Trader Daily.
The Credit Crisis, According To Chuck Norris
The tears of Chuck Norris would supply enough liquidity to solve the credit crisis. Too bad he never cries. (If you read only one thing today, pick this. So excellent.)
Morning Call: September 27
A famous series of jokes uses the actor Chuck Norris, martial artist and star of "Walker, Texas Ranger," as a paragon of masculinity and omnipotence. "Guns don't kill people, Chuck Norris kills people," goes one. "Chuck Norris doesn't get wet, water gets Chuck Norris," goes another.
Similar thinking can be applied to the current state of financial markets. Here, then, is the world of money recast in Chuck Norris terms.
Chuck Norris doesn't target inflation. He roundhouse-kicks it until it begs for mercy.
The Chuck Norris dollar buys 3 Canadian dollars, and trades at parity with the euro.
Chuck Norris doesn't supply collateral, only collateral damage.
When the yield on a Chuck Norris bond goes up, the price also rises.
Chuck Norris trades on fear and greed simultaneously.
Alan Greenspan calls Chuck Norris "The Maestro."
Chuck Norris has already banked his dividend payment from Northern Rock Plc.
Chuck Norris funds at Libor flat.
Chuck Norris Asset Management made 50 percent on its subprime mortgage-backed bond fund last month.
Chuck Norris doesn't borrow at the Fed's discount window. Chuck Norris LENDS at the Fed's discount window.
Chuck Norris's curves never invert.
Net income at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. rose 79 percent in the third quarter; profit at Chuck Norris Securities Inc. climbed 80 percent.
There is no market regulator. Just a list of securities Chuck Norris allows to be traded.
Chuck's iPhone never needs recharging.
Chuck Norris doesn't buy gold to hedge against inflation. Gold buys Chuck Norris to hedge against inflation.
Chuck Norris charges the Bank of England a penalty rate for borrowing. And guarantees its deposits.
Chuck Norris is the pilot Ben Bernanke calls when he wants to shower the economy with dollar bills. Sometimes, Chuck refuses to fly.
Chuck Norris gets ALL of his funding from the asset-backed commercial paper market.
Chuck Norris doesn't mark-to-market. The market marks to Chuck Norris.
When the U.S. economy sneezes, the world catches a cold. When Chuck Norris sneezes, the U.S. economy catches pneumonia.
When Chuck Norris makes you a price, it isn't an offer; it's an obligation to buy.
Chuck Norris isn't a market maker; he IS the market.
Chuck Norris can still get a 125 percent mortgage on a $2 million condo without providing proof of earnings.
Chuck Norris subprime collateralized debt obligations still trade at 100 percent of face value.
Chuck completed Halo 3 on his Microsoft Corp. Xbox 360 on the day before the computer game went on sale.

.43?? That's some pretty nice cake over the past couple of days! Do you have a sell on stop order?
KXL is moving. I just bought in at 1.29 already gone up to 1.32. I think that this may be a very big find looking at the company news they have dicovered allot of gold in every core sample.
"Mr. Bill Chornobay, President of Kodiak comments: "New gold discoveries of this magnitude are extremely rare. In spite of the tremendous amount of work done this summer, we have barely scratched the surface. We may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg. The Beardmore-Geraldton gold camp has already produced an estimated 4.1 million ounces of gold, is highly prospective and has seen very little exploration over the past several decades. These are very early days, yet we are seeing high-grade gold in almost every structure we uncover. The frequency with which we get samples containing high gold grade from grabs, channels and drill core bodes well for this project."
