Thoughts on US indicies?

Nasdaq has been incredibly strong, but pulled back hard on thursday. S&P making all time highs, fueled by lots of buying at the top (Saw quite a few 500 buy blocks going through :eek: )

Dow is well...Going up, and although it may be a very popular index that is watched world wide, its not properly weighted.

I thought we would see a continuation to the down side on Friday but it never happened...

With the uncertainty over the past few months in the credit market, there has been alot more money in play in the equity markets. I think this has alot to do with the recent uptrending we've seen on the indices.

But, the credit crunch is starting to ease up a little bit with new budgets coming out with fiscal year end approaching, and that should lead to some stabilization...I think we are going to see some money come off the table in equities and bring it down from these highs we are seeing...

Just my opinion though.

ps - rumoured leaked news on NOT/BMK on Friday which put it into a frenzy in the last two hours of trading...Should be an interesting monday.

NOT was on fire this morning, we sold our initial investment and now we are playing not with the free money we made...it's been a great ride. It already had a high of 5.25, but seems to be settling down.

Just looking for the next stock to buy now.

I agree, Sold some position today. let say they really do start drilling in 10 days... at least a week to drill... at least 2 weeks to analyze.. we probably wont be see any results at least until early/mid Nov. But if they put up the core pictures on the wbesite again ( someone on BB said they would)).. then who knows.. either way we are at least 2 weeks + before we will have the core.


BMK on the other hand OMG!! I wish I got a piece of it this morning when it was still in high 30s... . the market must be pretty strong, everyday I see like at least 5 stocks on my watch list having double digit gain...

That is all I know about SPQ, as far as uranium goes, we hold TEL still, we have had that for about a year now.

I am not sure what other uranium we are into, we had more last year but dumped most of them.

hah! Rat Fink...that is funny all of those people and all their aliases are on ignore. That is why we moved over to the Agoracom board, but it almost feels like every post if a paid endorsement.

My husband stays up every night to read the halts and news from the TSX, watches the volumes, so I guess he is doing all the right things, we have had a very successful year on the TSX. We keep a cash account and our RRSP account. In our RRSP account we are up close to 60k from last year. How can we not be happy. Our cash account was started from our original investment and is up almost 40K from when we started. NO bank no investment company could have done this for us.

Rat Fink, thanks for your postings. I enjoy reading them and makes me feel like we (husband and I) did the right thing. We still have our regular RRSP's and savings, but whenever we can put more into our trading account is another step closer to freedom 45, in our case anyhow.

I agree the agoracom board is kind of a pumper's heaven, or at least it has the potential to be. the VMS board wasnt so bad when it first got started, but I guess after the offical NR ppl started checking out, so now it is getting its fair share of pumper. I don't care too much for it, whatever meaningful information that are posted you can also find it in bullboard ( something in the 20+ pags/day anyway. ... )

I also check out HSM and smallcaps.ca forum. not alot of discussion on smallcaps but it is a good way to see what kind of company is on ppl radar and all the NRs.

NOT.. crazy.. that thing will crash HARD IMO when the time comes.. catch a falling knife anyone?! :D

There's not really a point in giving level IIs over the net as it's already changed quite significantly on vms. By the time I hit capture.. it had already moved quite a bit.

This is true...IMO even at this price level it is still a good buy for a 2-3 month hold. Lots of instituional buying over the past two days...they just need to show up with the goods or give an indication that there not staking bogus land.

This is the same way that NOT shot up though before their big news release...Im hoping that this is all in anticpation of a halt for BMK late this week.
