I heard it on Tv, so I don't know if its entirely true. Basically people are purchasing protection, and they are willing to penny up for it. They are protecting their long positions. The more puts that are being bought, the more long positions in the market (theoretically).
When people are long, its bullish. Thats my deduction...
For technical screens I use volume gainers and 52 week high/lows. Volatility ones can be useful too. I've gotten rid of MACD and most of those indicators because they lag price action. I mostly do intra-day trading now, and by the time MACD crosses or you get a bottoming signal happening, price has already reversed.

Uranium One Provides Production Guidance and Announces Management Appointments
production estimate for 2007 has been revised from 2.5 million pounds to approximately 2.1 million pounds
For 2008, the Company is revising its production forecast to 4.6 million pounds U(3)O(8) from 7.4 million pounds U(3)O(8), primarily due to the temporary sulphuric acid shortage which is expected to impact the ramp-up of both South Inkai and Kharasan.

0.25 cut was 90% priced into the market, and when those people who were holding out for 0.50 realized it didn't come, the inital dump happened.
Then cooler heads prevailed and we saw a reversal.

Anyone have any thoughts on SGX? I bought in last week at 44 or so and got out at 58. This week they dropped below 40 and spiked after KXL's NR. It's now trading at 51 and I'm kind of tempted to buy in again. What does everyone else think?

Morning trading was good. Stuck to Crude in the morning, and got hammered on the inventory report. Was short going into that, but managed to stem my losses at 40 ticks.
Went long after that and made a killing. Oil was up something like $4.50 on the day
A report came out yesterday from Goldman saying this was the top for oil, and that it was advising its clients to get out. A lot of selling came out of that. There was an early morning rally (most likely short covering from yesterday) then a blast into the afternoon.
I'm watching prices now and its STILL moving. 95.70

2007/10/30 10:22 AM DJ MARKET TALK: Goldman Advises Taking Oil Pfts, Not Calling Top
[Dow Jones] Goldman Sachs (GS) recommends crude-oil traders "take profits from a tactical perspective." While crude could well trade above $100 a barrel in the near term, "we believe that the risks are now becoming more balanced and that
the downside risks we have embedded in our end of first quarter 2008 oil price target of $80" a barrel "are already gaining momentum." The bank, which in the past has made waves with its oil price predictions, says "we are not trying to call a top here." Nymex Dec crude -$1.53 at $92/bbl. (

That is definitely news I was not expecting at all. I really don't know how to react to news like this. The definite positive is that we won't see any potential diluation of shares due to a PP for RSG in regards to requirements for their Cdn properties.
What does this mean for their Bakoudou Project? Dividing the two entities will allow SearchGold to directly focus on the continued development of that propery. I personally think this is a good sign for RSG (independant of Golden Share)
BTW... does anyone know if Dennis & Ron Tremblay are related?

Won't the RSG share price correct itself to reflect the distrubition of Golden Share shares since it's theoretically still all the same company?

I think the concern (as shown by the market), is that a yield of .10c/unit is simply not sustainable.
