Agreed. I can better accept that I lost money, than accept the fact that I could of had much more money.

Well, I was thinking if they just got news the other day, it could easily take more than a few days to prepare a news release that outlines everything - especially if it has to go through various approvals from people in the company.

I used to watch Seinfield all the time, but I don't remember George saying that! Well, maybe vaguely, and I can definitely picture him saying stuff just like that!

George : Why did it all turn out like this for me? I had so much promise. I was personable, I was bright. Oh, maybe not academically speaking, but ... I was perceptive. I always know when someone's uncomfortable at a party. It became very clear to me sitting out there today, that every decision I've ever made, in my entire life, has been wrong. My life is the opposite of everything I want it to be. Every instinct I have, in every of life, be it something to wear, something to eat ... It's all been wrong.

( A waitress comes up to G )

Waitress : Tuna on toast, coleslaw, cup of coffee.

George : Yeah. No, no, no, wait a minute, I always have tuna on toast. Nothing's ever worked out for me with tuna on toast. I want the complete opposite of on toast. Chicken salad, on rye, untoasted ... and a cup of tea.

Elaine : Well, there's no telling what can happen from this.

Jerry : You know chicken salad is not the opposite of tuna, salmon is the opposite of tuna, 'cos salmon swim against the current, and the tuna swim with it.

George : Good for the tuna.

Drill Hole #74 is a step out of 200 meters east of Drill Holes #69A and #55. Drill Hole #70 is located 50 meters north of Drill Holes# 69A and #55.

Management is extremely encouraged by the significant increase in both gold and molybdenum values.

The 2007 3D IP geophysical survey indicates the mineralization from the Pass zone to the East zone is contiguous and extends for at least 2.6 km.

The 2007 diamond drilling consisted of a total footage of 4,098 meters (13,444 feet) in 12 holes on several different mineralized zones located throughout the property as follows:

East Zone DDH#70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 77 and 79
Bornite Zone DDH#75 and 76
Far East Zone DDH#78, 80 and 81

Updated plans showing the geophysical data and detail drill hole location of the Pass Bornite and East Zones will be posted shortly on the company’s website www.carmaxex.com

Its not overly great but this is only 2 of the 12 holes. im not sure how many have been drilled so far but if this is best to date it might get better with the other 10

When I read it the first time I read Ag as Au

So whats supposed to be the big winner on these drill results again?

The intercepts are long but at 300 meters deep I dont know how Open Pitable it is

broken_legs
12-14-2007, 04:13 PM
Heres what I know about Moly which is just something someone else wrote..... From what I can see the Moly intercepts are pretty low grade. SO maybe this was about the copper?

EDITx2: Some of the news releases are titled about the gold @ 1.7 gm/t over 16 meters. But that hole intercept is 290 meters deep

2. Find out the average grade of the molybdenum deposit. “If any investor were to phone me and want to buy stock in moly mine, my immediate response would be, ‘Well, what is the grade’?” Carter said. “And if the grade isn’t a little bit better than 0.1 percent, and preferably closer to 0.2 percent, I’d say, ‘Well, you had better think about this a little bit.” Carter explained he liked the MAX deposit because at 1.95 percent MOS2, Roca Mines would initially yield about 23-24 pounds per ton of contained molybdenum. At $28 pound, the gross in situ value of the deposit, if that percentage remained consistent through the deposit, would be in the neighborhood, north of $500 to $600/ton. Mining and operating costs are said to be less than $100/ton.

3. How deep is the molybdenum deposit? “Usually the deeper you go, the better grade you have to have in order to have material that can be mined for profit,” advised Davidson. “The deeper you go, your expenses can increase. Therefore, you’d generally have to have higher grade at depth.”

4. Is it underground or open pit mining? Davidson discussed Adanac’s deposit in British Columbia, “Because it’s an open pit, your mining costs are much lower.” Carter advised on deposits where average grades run low, “If it’s 0.1 percent, it had better be a big deposit and it had better be open pit, too. We’re not talking underground here. With 0.2 percent, you get a little more option, if you can get something that’s reasonably large and with grades approaching 0.2 percent. Cost of production in many open pit mines should be in the $10 to $11/pound range.”

Gold, Silver, Moly, added bonus to the copper.

Taken from the company website....right on the home page:

"In the 2007 exploration season the company will actively continue work on the Eaglehead towards developing a 43-101 compliant resource. Presently the project has indications of 6 zones over a distance of 7 km which are conceptually estimated to contain 60 million combined tonnes grading greater than 0.42 % Cu with Mo, Ag and Au credits"

Hole No. 74 has good copper findings at depth, which what this was all about anyway.

Interestingly, Hole 70 has pretty decent Gold content.... which is a bonus. Unfortunately it didn't have the same Copper content as 74.

The Moly content sucks, but who cares.

hah I dont own a position so I'm not too bias... if they can keep reproducing the same grade then they should fine, but in the short term I think those numbers do not live up to the hype for the rise of $0.10 to $0.35.. IMO thats all. I hope i'm wrong

So I did a little research...

They are in BC looking at a Porphyry deposit. Heres some info on that:

In Canada, all moly production and roughly half of all copper production are derived from porphyry deposits. With the exception of Quebec's Gaspe Copper, which is mining a deposit estimated at 150 million tonnes grading 0.37% copper, Canadian porphyry production is limited to British Columbia and the Yukon.

Current and past-producing mines in those areas include: Valley Copper in British Columbia, with 690 million tonnes grading 0.41% copper; Island Copper in British Columbia, with 345 million tonnes grading 0.42% copper and 0.017% moly; Brenda in British Columbia, with 360 million tonnes grading 0.16% copper and 0.039% moly; Mount Polley in British Columbia, with 230 million tonnes grading 0.25% copper and 0.34 gram gold; and Casino in the Yukon, with 162 million tonnes grading 0.37% copper, 0.039% moly and 0.48 gram gold.

Because of their low grades, porphyry mines must be low-cost. To keep costs down, these are mined as open-pit operations, which are less costly to run than underground mines. The size of many of these deposits renders such operations huge. For example, at 800 metres deep and 4 km wide, the pit in Bingham, Utah, is the largest man-made excavation in the world.

Looks like its OPEN PIT-able - and perhaps the grades are right in line with everything else thats being mined from porphyry deposits in BC

EDIT:
Heres a Linky for people who want to learn about Copper Mining

So is anyone still following any O&G drilling plays?

GUL is about to drill another well in the North Sea with Lundin.

Rig is probably moving there to SPUD the hole this weekend.

I think there would be some run in the stock price just voer drilling excitment and who knows if they hit something big could be pretty good.

Before the market opens, can you see the bids/asks???

(As in, the 15 minutes before open) L2 available?

... I remember when VMS halted, before it resumed you could see the bids running up from .80 to .90 and upwards just hitting refresh on the RBC screen.

Thoughts on a good plan of action for Monday?

Note: Questrade trial platforms are for demonstration purposes only. They are not intended for paper trading and may not perform exactly like the live version. All quotes are delayed 15 to 20 minutes. Limit orders will not be executed. There are no delayed bid/offer on NYSE symbols.

That's not gonna work for L2 quotes I guess.

Real-time customizable charts

So maybe it is good for L2 quotes.

^ It does, I'm looking at it right now.

I noticed it says "Quotes delayed 15-20 minutes unless otherwise indicated"

But in the L2 chart it says "RT" (Real-Time) right on it. So that is otherwise indicating that the quote is not delayed. So it currently is showing activity from Friday at close.

Ok it appears you need to subscribe to the service for $20 per month for this new platform...looks kinda cool though actually.

Make a demo account, and you get the L2 quotes for free for 30 days. That's what I did...I'll probably use it for fun/practice to see if I can make money with the extra information.

Does anybody pay for L2 with TradeFreedom? If so, how do you like it?

Actually somehow I got it. This is actually a really cool platform and i am going to try and learn it over XMAS. I think the Level II is imperative for trading on a short term basis.

Does anyone here use Stockhouses Level2 service? I currently have L2 using Questrade, but it's based on Java which doesn't work well on my work computer.

I'm thinking of cancelling my L2 through Questrade, and moving onto Stockhouse L2 service. Is Stockhouse L2 based on Java as well?

Yeah, it's Java I think. Our work firewall blocks it, so it must be going through some non-standard port. I had it for a while, but since I couldn't get onto it at work, there was no point in keeping it.

L2's are great, but for the most part they are very decieving. Watch the T&S (time and sales) coupled with a chart. Much better combo.

Anyone have L2? It's not looking good so far it looks like. I have bid and ask showing up at 33 on the tdwaterhouse web platform. Could be fake asks that will be pulled..but if not... could be bad

Yeah, they may get pulled before open. We'll find out in 10 minutes.

As long as it closes in the green, I don't really care what it opens at.

.26 now.

talk about manipulation. Would market orders show up as the lowest ask? That would mean the 300k or so at the highest bid would all be market orders right? If the asks are pulled as I suspect some of them will be, it might not open too bad.

any specific reason?

I know ill be selling today if share price increases by a decent amount. Ive bought alot of penny stocks that have had a great day or two after ive bought but ive held hoping for better things to come and because of that ive been put in a hole. I may buyback lower if i feel like this might go somewhere but ill most likely be selling for any amount of profit

anyone

Looks like it will tumble very fast - and I don't want to sell it at a loss with 8 more holes of potentially good news to come soon.

I saw .225 on the RT trades...which is crazy.

Hey, Rat Fink, I'm sitting here feeling pretty shitty for losing thousands and thousands and thousands (and more thousands) of dollars instantly this morning.

I'm wondering how you are feeling having lost more than twice as much? You took a $20,000.00 hit. Got a gun?
