... in my engine bay...

So I go to my friends house, park my car and start walking away when I hear some meowing noise, look over, no cat or any animal, hear it again, way louder and it's coming from my car. Look under car, nothing, meows like 6 more times, from the engine bay so I pop the hood and see this little guy just sitting there.

Wasn't hurt at all which is weird, the engine bay was damn hot. Thought he would be burnt.

Not my cat. And you can see the ground from that whole so it probably just crawled into there. Put him on the ground while we figured out what to do with him and he just kept hiding under my car. It was a bitch to get him out haha.

I just made my friend hold it and drove back home, dropped it off outside my house and the thing instantly knew where it was and ran to a nearby house. We were going to take it to the humane society but it closed at 3 and this happened at 3:30 haha.

It's funny, got home 10 minutes ago and there's some girl in my backyard with a chair poking at something in the trees, I was like wtf, girl's like there's a small kitten up there. Sounds like that kitten is having tons of fun haha.

What area did you find this kitten in?

That looks like 'Carlos', this cat I found while working in the S.W. He appeared at the job site and kicked it with us for a few days then disappeared.

^^ This is in Lethbridge. He must get around :P

Anyways, no leash on him either, but he seemed to know my neighborhood very well. Gotta check now everyday before I leave. Don't want BBQ cat.

I always hear that you get better engine performance when you take out or gut the cat..... now I finally know what that means! I'm glad you picked the former.

Oh, and now you can tell your friends that your car is a pussy magnet....

Sorry, I had to.

Just honk your horn a few times before leaving your place. I remember reading somewhere that this is supposed to drive out any animals that may have crawled up there.

My neighbor had this happen to his dog when I was a kid. Smaller type dog, cold November day, started the truck and heard a dog yelping from under the truck. They ended up having to put the dog down.

So that's the secret to Subaru's traction...I always thought it had something to do with the AWD. Does this comprimise the car's "horse"power at all?

OP should get some sort of custom user title.

Haha, found the little guy stuck in a tree in my backyard. Pretty sure it's a stray, no collar, no tattoo's on it's ear. I was working on my car and he kept running around me and hiding under the car haha.

You should keep him, it seems like he's taken quite a liking to you and he looks like a great little cat.

If I had a neighbor that honked his horn everytime he went to drive his car it would have a date with my side cutters.

Edit: You should definatly keep the cat, strays that are given homes are VERY loving cats. Also, Those pics from the LGT forums are great. :D

make sure to always remember to check under your car. Couple seconds a day could potentially save the little guy from getting run over if he's chillin under your car.
