Which is best to go to to get advice for your economic program?

UPO or the actual advisory department for Econ in the Dept. of Econ?

Common sense would tell you the econ advisory dept but some have told me to just talk to the UPO.

ya what kaput said. Its on the second floor of SS. I think its 209 but you can miss it. The SS undergrad office advisors.

If you need to know what classes to take, then the Undergrad Programs Office (UPO) on the 2nd floor of Social Sciences. If you need to know what each class is about, or need to try to overload a class etc then the economics department's academic advisors.
