Wow. I've never been a huge fan of the way Vipers look, but that is pretty sweet.

That car is sick. I've been at the track while he was lapping, he's a member of the exotic car club in calgary.

Edit: I wonder whats up with the number 36 on the side? Wasn't there last time I saw him at the track. Kinda ugly IMO.

I've seen him at the track a few times this year and the 36 was there. He's one of the Track Techniques instructors.

Hey ya'll! It's my ACR.

I was on the way to the Track Techniques lapping event yesterday when I saw you taking the pics on Deerfoot - right near Barlow. Nice Mustang ragtop BTW.

I'm Jay Pringles' Chief Instructor and we had a great time coaching folks last night.

I've shipped my car to California twice in the past year for lapping events and they require a car number. I use #36 on my race car so I added the same number to the ACR just for the track days. I kinda like it but I'll likely remove the numbers this fall - unless I book another trip to Infineon or Thunderhill (or hopefully Laguna Seca).

See ya'll at the track!

Have you lapped laguna seca? souds like so much fun.

I was actually going to ask if it was a real ACR. Rare car I'd say. Nice!

Finally - a car that actually justifies the huge-ass wing!

I saw this car parked downtown and it's ridiculous.

Is the ACR aero kit suppose to be not road legal? How does that work?

I seen a Viper with a wing similar to this leaving either Elbow Valley or Stonepine not too long ago.

OK. Here's some ACR info.

The car is legal with the aero kit installed. However, there is a track extension for the front splitter that is not legal. I had the track extension installed yesterday - since I was on the way to the track. When it's not installed Dodge calls it a fanged splitter since it appears - well... fanged.

I've never had the ACR at Laguna - yet. I have raced there (one time - long ago), on motorcycles and I won that race. Yeah!

I've had the ACR at Infineon (Sears Point) twice and at Thunderhill once this year.

My car is an '08 and it's my understanding that there are only 4 in Canada.
I believe there's only 38 worldwide in this colour combination with the total production (all colours) being less than 150. I can check this - if it really matters.

The car is 100% stock except for some stickers, a Team Tech 6 point racing harness and a 1" seat lowering kit (I'm a BIG guy). It produces a little more than 600hp (I had it dyno'd at Davenport) depending on your crank to wheel correction factor. Dodge claims 600hp but 620 seems to be the better number. Of course that 20hp is impossible to detect - if it's there at all.

The side exhaust is factory original and has been a part of Viper from the very beginning - even the prototype.

I'll try to attach some pics - but I'm not sure how. Here it goes.

Thanks for that. I'm just enjoying whatever car I have at the time - just like everyone else.

If you get to the track at all you'll see me there sooner or later.

I'm not sure if its a real ACR but I saw a white one today around Douglasdale. White an ACR red stripe and a huge ass black wing.

edit: the white isaw didnt have any red stripes, just red markings on the hood... had ACR emblems on the side though.

I remember when my dad was racing out at Race City in the enduro class seeing a Hummer as a tow vehicle for I believe the 36 stock car (green and purple IIRC) with that plate (GUILTY). And again, IIRC his stock car went on its lid in 1 race!

Thats because the wing on this car actually serves a purpose. Its not there to stand out and say hey look at me. people that that say a huge wing like that is for ricers need to watch some racing and undertsand what the wing actually does.

Yep. That's me. It didn't hurt too bad.

I've been racing for years - mostly on roadcourses and now just on the oval. I just do track days on the roadcourse now.

It 'was' a Dodge. It was also a Mecedes. The motor was designed by Lamborghini and tuned by McLaren.

But now it's just a Fiat. Crappy? Perhaps.

You might not like the look of the rear wing - but it's not a crappy rear wing. See pic.

Looks slow :nut:

I know the wing has a purpose but I'm just not feeling it, it's like hanging up away from the lines of the body and I think distracts from the overall look... This is one time where it's function over form IMO. Even still nice piece of machine there

Oh man... is it the White convertible one with all the goofy shit on it? ie. Numerous SRT10 and Viper badges on the back end, red and black stripes on the hood, big wing, red color accents on the side and some chongo driving? I saw him on 17th.. and people were actually laughing. As if the car wasnt enough, he was wearing a sweatband and pumping ridiculous music.

It's easy to get into the parkade but a biatch to get out - especially during rush hour. Just the same - it works OK.

The car is OK on the street but it really belongs on the track.

Extra badges, wing, and misc other accesories, some even in a matching color scheme! I think the awful music topped it all off nicely.
