what place did you find ... ? I've been looking to chrome my mirrors instead of using covers.

they charge 70$ a square foot for chroming plastic and other non-metal objects. According to him what they do is put on a layer of primer, then a layer of specialized chrome paint, and finally they clear coat it. Apparently the quality is comparable to to the clear coat on your car. The specialize in uncommon things, and can do pretty much everything. He also says the smoother the surface the better the finish.
