putting the car in storage

well i will be putting my car in storage for about a year :( . havent done this before and im sure gunna miss her. is there anything i should do before i put her under the covers?
i heard i should remove the battery and i should start my car at least once a month. any other tips would be appreciated.

And get it off the tires, or they'll flat spot. So put it on blocks. In your gas, use an additive to keep it fresh (available at any mechanical shop). Keep a full tank, since you'll get less condensation that way.

Just out of curiosity, where are you storing it? I was looking at storing a summer car over the winter and was wondering what kind of rates people pay if it slumbers elsewhere.
