Wiring question about DVD players

I've been given false info from somebody along the line. I just purchased a pioneer dvd/screen combo and was wondering what was needed for it to operate. On some occasions i've been told that you can run it through a Pioneer head unit, but others have said that I would need a processor which is super expensive. Can someone clear this up for me. Will the DVD player run with just a regular pioneer deck with a dvd controller or will I need to buy that processor thing? :dunno:

Everyone I know with a DVD in the car has a 500-800 dollar controller. :dunno:

It really depends on the DVD player. What are the 2 decks' model #'s?
