Ill keep this short and precise. Is there any remotely or relatively cheap way to fix this on my '98 Breeze? It has 318k km's so I'm not shocked by the rust but I dont exactly have the funds for a whole new car atm and the rust makes my lovable daily driver look like shnit.

Any help is appreciated.

How much you want to spend?

If it were mine, I'd sand it down, por-15 everything around it, fill the hole with large gap filler (for around house windows/doors), shave it down when it dries, and spray bomb it with crappy tire colour match.

Thanks for the response but youre talking to a complete newb here haha. What is por-15? You mean sand/break off the entire rusting panel?

Thanks.

if u wanan keep it cheap maybe sand those rust for the hole, use fibreglass net wait for it to dry sand down the excess fibreglass net around it and use light bondo filler so it evens it out then sand away, then use some primer/or color of ur choice to paint it so it doesnt rust

pay some backyard bodyman to weld on a new rocker and spray bomb it. Dont fill it foam.

your best to weld a whole new piece in

This.

My solution was the $50 fix.

I believe at Canadian Tire, I saw a bondo kit which comes with some fibreglass just for this sort of job. Should be able to keep this under $50 including matching spray paint.

attack the rust as best as you can by sanding and covering with a primer, (there is a rust preventing primer out there but its questionable if it works.)

after the rust has been busted as best as possible measure your body and go to the junkyard to find a stock looking sideskirt to cover it as best you can. I'm not familiar with bigger cars but doesn't a grand prix or an avenger have stockish side skirts?

it would be infinitely easier to repaint and trim to fit some sideskirts to your car over sanding bondo sanding bondo sanding priming sanding painting those rusted spots.

stock sideskirts (despite being from another vehicle line) shouldnt look too out of place even on a breeze.

How would I go about removing the side skirt from said car in a yard and attatching and fitting it to my car?

Thanks!

What's the other side like?

Other side is rusted but not all the way through, no holes, just the surface rust. Not nearly as bad.
