It's a long shot but does anyone know where I can buy a 17mm Hex bit? Largest I can find is a 16mm. I am trying to remove a tranny drain plug on a VW.

Call NAPA or Parts Source. They should have one.

Parts source and Canadian tire don't have big enough. I went back to Princess auto and they DO have them. I don't know how I missed them the first time. Thanks for the replies everybody. This thread can be closed.

Next time, grab a short 17 mm bolt, take 2 nuts and double butt them (or weld one nut), and you have your tool.
