$1,200 payment? That's a cheap Ferrari.

Ya, I was just doing the math, and I think it's closer to 3000$/month after tax for a $160,000 with 0 down

With that low of a budget you might as well forget about it. I wouldn't rent my NSX for that and my parts are much cheaper to replace than on an F-Car. I rented an abused F355 in Hawaii for about the same money and that was a few years ago. You also have to give them a $5000 deposit on a credit card and be over 25 years old.

For comparisons, an F360 rental is usually around $2500 per day plus mileage.

Seriously? Drop off a resume at Ferrari of Calgary, you'd probably have more luck getting a job with them and driving customer cars than finding a Ferrari to rent for $1000.

Because I'm bored I did some searching

You can rent an Enzo!

In Berkshire England..

It's $12,500 for the day

or

now this is a great deal...
$37,700 for the weekend!

http://holdersvc.co.uk/ferrari_car_hire.html

Or better yet, how about the Veyron?
$70,700 for the weekend :D

Ok, now I know you're just some 15 year old with a pipe dream. Like anyone with a million dollar car is going to rent it for an hour for $1000. You have absolutely no concept of how much these things cost to buy, maintain and insure.

$8000 GBP is more like $15,000 CAD. And that is just the start. Add in your mileage and insurance and I bet you are over $20k.

While we are dreaming, does anyone have $40k to blow on a rental?

Again, you have absolutely no idea what you are asking. You talk about it like you are asking to take a Hyundai out for a spin. How much do you think a clutch is worth on an Enzo? I know the Carrera GT clutch replacement is a cool $25,000 and I'm pretty sure the Enzo clutch is more. Now how hard do you think it would be for some yahoo who doesn't give a shit to smoke the clutch? And before you say that you aren't some yahoo I can tell you that doesn't matter. If you are renting a car you have to assume everyone is a yahoo. There is a reason why most rentals end up looking like bagged pieces of crap - because the people renting them don't own them and don't give a crap what happens when they hand back the keys.

Then there is the whole issue of damages. Let's say you get into a minor fender bender. How much do you think that will cost? Plus, what do you think will happen to the resale of an Enzo that has had bodywork? That million dollar car just become worth $100k less. People who pay that kind of money for a car want one that is pristine. They aren't bargain shoppers.

Wow decent daily rates.. :) This part hurts though

Security Deposit of $10000 is required at time of rental.
An Additional deposit maybe required based on term of rental.
