i've been there about twenty times when i was younger for mostly soccer tournaments so i know all about west ed, fantasyland etc.

any good parks or anything else to do while down there during the day? i'll be boozing at night so any recomendations on some pubs/clubs would be cool. no kiddie 18 year old bars please :)

oh and yes i know it's a shithole compared to calgary, mainly just going there for shits and giggles. doesn't exactly break the bank.

I saw the subject and thought "While we're at it, what's the meaning of life?"

I'll be your ambassador.

Parks, you've got the entire freaking river valley to choose from. (20km worth of it..pick a spot).

Whyte ave is just a drunking mess (depending on your mood can be lots of fun), if you want more older mature people (~25 yrs old) then there is Fluid, 100Club, The Bank all on Jasper ave.

There is also good shopping on whyte ave during the day.

There's this really neat street called Calgary trail... just get on it, heading Southbound, and keep going. You'll eventually hit something good.

I love that Calgary Trail leads to Calgary...

... but Edmonton Trail leads to an A&W, a Denny's, and eventually a bus trap.

The Edmonton hate is strong here.

Anything you can do in Calgary you can do in Edmonton, with the exception of having a real zoo. There`s a huge pub crawl going on tonight(3 buses and its sold out), Hudson`s, Diamonds, the Ranch and Union so if any of those are your scene, probably going to want to be there real early.
