Where do they fly out of? Cold Lake? That's the only air base I'm aware of in Alberta.

They were CT-155 Hawks. Advanced fighter trainers for the Canadian air force. Pretty cool airplane. Saw them taxing to the Shell hanger at the airport.

I'm working on the cold lake air base right now for EnCana. Today 2 planes were dog fighting over our site. now that was fucking fun to watch!

Did you have a chance to be working there while it was Canada Day? I was there a few years ago for the summer working for Encana as well, and fuck was it ever exciting!
