iChat?

Just wondering if there is an iChat app for the iPhone? An app similar to the actual iChat app on the apple computers where you can put in your ID and chat with your contacts? If so what's it called?

I know that one and I have tried downloading it via Installous but it always gives me an error and never starts. It's damn annoying.

beejive has security checks on their server side, it compares your unique phone id, try IM+, pretty much the same thing.

Totally unrelated, but I just discovered an app called PING! in the app store. Works for the iPhone and iPod touch...IMO, Blackberry Messenger is the ONLY good thing about my Berry, hopefully this app or something similar actually takes off!

I have ping already but I don't really see the point cause I have an unlimited text plan anyway, unless I am sending a lot of oversees texts, which I am not. But I have the app, however no one else I know does, so it's just sitting there not being used. Used it once however and works fine, crashed once but that was about it.

Ping! sucked for me. Needs more work to be good. Checking out WhatsApp.

Anyone tried BluChat or whatever the bluetooth chat is? Good if you're in a class with friends or close proximity.

IM+ is my goto Instant Messenger. Just as good as BeeJive.

Ping works awesome for me, tried texting international back and forth as well and it works fine. Crashed on me once that was about it so far. I am pretty sure there'll be updates for it soon enough when it'll be even more stable and added features. Just waiting for that.
