Wonder if they have so sort of auto assist to close them?

Kinda remind me of a S2000......

Looks great from the front, looks like ass from the back. Will have to see how it performs compared to the SLR that it's replacing.

between this and the mp4-12c.... not exactly a tough choice....

Ya, they're both priced the same and will both be released around the same time. The MP4-12C has more power and weighs 1000lbs less.

Of course, the SLR was even heavier than the SLS, but McLaren was able to get performance out of it that rivals cars that weighed much less. It'll be interesting to see if Mercedes could do the same (the SLS was built completely in-house by MB and AMG).

So bizarre, McLaren's car has no MB ties, and MB's car has no McLaren ties. Wonder if the marriage is over soon...

The front and the doors look nice, but the rest is kind of a big "meh."

my thoughts on the back

- trunk looks like a Lexus SC430 or BMW 6-series
- B pillar looks like a Delsol or a third gen RX7

I like it. But I'm partial to retro throw-back designs. I wish more manufacturers would release refreshed designs of classic cars.

Rumors been flying that MB is set to buy Brawn.... So its not completely unrealistic. Wonder what MB is gonna do with that 40% ownership. Got a few hundred million pounds lying around???

Love the front and sides, but I saw the rear end, and hear a faint whisper in my ear ... "Zoom zoom".

Are you sure it is replacing the SLR? I think I read awhile back that this was supposed to fit somewhere between the SLR and SL/CL AMG models.

I don't see it, but the test mule was a Viper if I remember correctly.

So? This thing is rumored to be priced at about $280,000 CAD, that doesn't sound like an SLR replacement to me.

Are these available to the public already?

I just spotted 3 in NJ close to NYC this week. All together with manufacturers tags from Michigan. Not sure if they are already out in private hands as well?!?!?!
