Hey y'all,

so I got a used car a while ago and it already had a compustar system installed, and it is pretty sensitive when I park it on the street (especially near 17th). I was wondering where the common places to put the shock sensor are so that I could adjust the sensitivity. I asked the previous owner, but his two guesses missed the mark. Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks for the help.

Right, but the alarm can be triggered even when the shock sensor is off, right? I thought my "shock sensor" mode was always off as far as I could tell, but that the alarm is just super sensitive (loud car goes by).

Exactly, I was just wondering where some of the places the shock sensor could be...I checked under the steering column but couldn't find it.

for mine it was mounted right near the brain.

I've changed mine many times, it's bundled with all the wiring under the steering column with the brain. Keep looking, it's small but it's there. It's like a little egg with a numbered dial on it and you roll the dial to your desired setting.

Ok, I'll look again, maybe it's buried in there. Thanks for the help!

turn that dial down to 2 at the max.
