That’s not a typing error. A company in Switzerland has decided to give the classic Volkswagen bus a 3.6L surprise.

When it came to choosing a powerplant, Carrosserie Bernhard decided to keep things aircooled and opted for the twin turbo powerplant from a damaged Porsche 993. A standard engine would be enough for most people, but not these guys. The unit has been tweaked to produce 500 bhp, which is transmitted to those 18 inch BBS split rims via a Porsche 996 GT3 six speed ‘box.

Not bad but I prefer the orange, original looking bus that participated in the bullrun with a few hundred ponnies under the back side over this. I'll see if I can dig up pictures and info.
