8+ Cop Cars and SWAT Team down in Saddletowne Circle

There is something huge happening down in Saddletowne circle. A guy ambushed when 5 cop cars came to swarm him. He carried a black duffle bag and was later searched. He gets interogated behind the safeway liquor store for 2 hours and a huge sting is happening as SWAT Team and more cop cars pulled in to organize something, probably a sting of some sort. I got some pictures and I will post them up later tonight but right at the moment they are still here and organizing. They even mentioned they got snipers set up.

haha I will later tonight. But if live near by why don't you see it live. A mobile station pulled in and 2 armored vehicle as well. EMS is here as well as a global calgary news team.

So half of the cops went the other way of the circle along with the swat team with a few explorers behind them. They were going towards the area of Saddleridge/taravista. half of them are still here behind the safeway liquor store along with the Police Mobile station which I am assuming is for their communication in this sting. I've talked to them already and they said they are looking for a Black Male in a purple shirt.

yeah hes not even overexaggerating i got pulled over and asked for id before i could enter my culdasac.

Looks like something big, cop cars everywhere and the cops arnt even in there cars or anywhere near them!

As far as I know, the guy in the duffle bag is still in the cop car and it looks like he was part of the sting that happened. It looks like its all over though as the swat team came back and now they are in the parking lot having another meeting. They did put their weapons away so I'm assuming it was all over. It's pretty neat to see them in action, all the explorer vehicles had their gear in the back, all they had to do is pull it out and it slides out with all their guns and vest ready to go.

Update:

Spoke with the tactical Unit (SWAT) and they said someone huge had a warrant for arrest and they said the person wouldn't come out. Suspect was believed to have weapons inside the house so the tactical unit got involved. There was also several detectives in the parking lot with suites on but had badges on their belts. He did eventually cooperate so there wasn't much action involved. I wasn't able to take pictures of evidence but he showed me a magazine full of bullets and other small bullets as well.

The guy in the parking lot that was originally interogated got arrested as well, possibly for possesing drugs or firearms. They won't tell me and they won't get into too much details with me but that's what the general overview of the situation was.

I just got back home and saw a part of it. *Some things will probably be repeated*

Cops started to get together at around 8. A guy was seen waving his handgun around and ended up going into the house that all the fussle happened around.

A bunch of undercover cops(Expeditions SUV) all gathered around the boston pizza along with ambulance and a Communications RV.

Another bunch of regular cops and some ghost cops got around the first entrance off of the saddletown circle.

No cops were in their vehicles and none were to be seen around. I managed to find myself about 100ft looking dead on at the house behind a fence. SWAT armoured truck was outside the house with a light on and the police lights flashing. The truck kept on saying through the megaphone to "Come out the house" "We know you are in there, come outside" "We see you looking through the window, come out"

A few min into me watching all this, a loud flashbang went off. To my later conclusion, they must have threw it outside as there was no broken windows and the door wasnt open.

The truck went quite for 15 min. I managed to relocate much closer to the house. A guy not even giving a fuck just started walking towards the house, and then out of nowhere you heard "HEY COME HERE" thats when i realized the cops were hiding behind 2 houses in the dark with a clear view at the house.

After some more waiting, the door opens up, a guy comes out...starts following orders and is handcuffed and taken away. A few min later u see someone come to the door and go back in the house. A few min later, you see the guy coming to the front door and is told by the truck to drop the phone...he gets handcuffed.

About 5 min go by and about 6 cops storm into the house and search the house clean. The only thing they found was a dog lol.

I got much closer at this point and heard one of the cops talk how "Im looking for it, im betting that he ditched it" Possibly talking about the weapon.

So thats all i know. Funniest thing was at the end, when a guy out of his bedroom window started yelling,

"HEY"
"HEEEEY"
"HEY GUYS OVER HERE"
"HEY"
"GOOD WORK"

...Cops dont say nothing...

"HEY"
"GUYS"
"GOOD WORK"
"THANKS"

Just to correct addidas, they did find evidence like I mentioned before, there was several magazines off bullets and other as well. i couldn't see much of the evidence as they were already bagged.

I did hear that they had ammo and guns in the house.

Like what I mentioned already that's all they would say to me. One of the tactical unit guys saw me taking pics and he even asked if I took any pictures of the evidence. I told them I wanted to take pictures but figured it was inapropriate to do so. He gave me the nod of approval as if saying "Ok good to know"

Most of these guys are actually pretty nice guys, there was a prick cop that I spoke earlier whenI was just asking for a little bit of detail on the situation while he "talks" with the EMS girls. Maybe I was cramping his style, who knows. :D
