How can you tell if the headgasket is blown? the car seems to run fine. Its leaking a tiny bit of oil (found on garage floor) and theres oil on the block of the engine and connecting hoses. Also the heat is screwed, hot for 1 min then cold till u shut it off for a bit.:dunno:

The other method to check for a cracked cylinder head or leaking head gasket is to fill the radiator up to the top with coolant. If bubbles start to appear when the engine is warm, it generally indicates one of these problems. The greater the bubbles, the bigger the problem :D :D :D

Overheating...there are 2 fans in the 7M-GTE...one that runs with the belt and the other with the fan clutch...if that one is constantly on, then yeah...thats a syptom...to a Compression, and a leakdown test to see where you stand...and go from there...

The car does not boost fully either. The boost gauge does not pass 3psi.

You should do a CO2 test that will tell you the result.

I used a autometer boost gauge instead of the stocker, worked way better, actually read boost levels instead of on and off.
