I'm pretty sure i have been completely converted into a Honda Fanboy now,
i happened to be in an accident in my friends 300zx last week and it has turned me off of Nissans and RWD cars now.
I enjoy my under powered FWD civic, it does the job, its fun to drive and people HATE my exhaust !!!

(p.s. I'm thinking about getting I <3 My Fart Can" Decals made up, think so ?)

I haven't made up my mind 100% but i'm thinking about either putting quite a bit of money into my civic, or driving it and just saving up for something that would be better. Heres the thing.

If i keep my civic, i want to do something along these lines.

-Fix the quarter size rust forming in the rear corners,
-New Black Paint
-Rota Circuit 8 or 10's (15/16)
-Coilovers/ or upgrade springs/struts ect.
-Fogs/Side markers
-Possibly a GSR or ITR (Would my exhaust bolt right up without any modifications?)
-New Intake
-Little touch ups like remove spoiler ect.

Then i would probably keep this car for as long as i could and NEVER sell it.

Or i could find a better model to build around.
I love my Ej1, i don't really ever see many that are done up nice, maybe the odd one here and there.
(The red b18/turbo one from the Honda meet was nice)

If race city sticks around for longer, or if they decide to build a new track somewhere close it will greatly influence my decision because i have taken a large interest in road course racing and autox.

Sorry for making all these threads, i would just like to make the smartest decision without having to loose a whole bunch of money to find out that it was an idiotic idea. I would just like everyone's opinions.

*Paint is actually not as good as it looks
There is a 2x4 ish chunk of paint that has come off drivers door, and there is black paint under it, so i'm sure the car had a quick spray over the old paint, is wasn't that good of a job but not 100%.

Car looks clean! Nice work. Be careful though, alot of Civics are getting hit up like crazy. Two people I know in the same day had their car broken into (Civics).

Don't do an ITR swap way too expensive for what you get. A GSR swap with parts will be just as good or better. You could always do the classic B16 for cheaper yet. Your car is a good platform to do a DD build on so I wouldn't get a different car. Heck you could even build your D engine and turbo it or add some nitrous. I'm gonna go nitrous on my car just for something different

Well i got an alarm system in it, hopefully that will turn kids away, my neighboorhood is pretty quiet also so i'm not too worried. It's almost been stoled but that wasn't at my house.
Thanks for the compliment.

I've always been a fan of the B18c but its just deciding GSR or ITR, i really like the GSR for the price you pay you get alot of motor. If i could find one for under 2grand thats in good shape, i would deffinintly drop it in. But i have a question about my exhaust hooking up, would i need an extended cat ?

fuel pump relay or the pump itself hidden switch or both is the most thief proof way for these older hondas/acuras imo, yes if they want the car they will tow it, but i doubt they will spend all night trying to find a switch/switches. having a few in series around the vehicle is almost a definite turn off for thieves. or just take out the whole relay itself everynight, I wish karma in the worst form on car thieves, get a fken job!

Welcome to the most hated car enthusiast group on the planet.:poosie:

Our cars get ridiculed, stolen, spat on, raped for parts.....but once you realize "the civic factor", there's no turning back. Nothing like embarassing a larger displacement "fast" car in a 2,000 lb grocery cart.

I miss my 95 Ej every day. I really liked that car.

Also, I know it's old - but I put a club on my car whenever I have to park it outside of the garage, or wherever I am. It cost me $5.00 and the one day I did park it in front of my house, it prevented my car getting stolen. Also - turn your system down if you have one when you enter the community.

I guess it's an attention whore, inter cooler, exhaust and the rest. If the windows weren't fogged I bet they wouldn't have broken the window - but they did, saw the club and left. Bastards.

In short terms, invest in a club!

Sorry meng! Maybe when i'm like 18ish. There's always a possibility. I'm only 16 remember ;) still got a long ass time to get my s13. Maybe when i'm more experienced with RWD and power.

Yeah, thats a good idea, but looks so LAME hahaha.
I might have to pick one up. I'm not at all interested in tint or anything. I wanna get a massive flashing light to show that it has an alarm haha.

Yeah, i think that would be the most satisfying thing ever. Like i don't wanna street race, but like at race city just have a sleeper, or just run the track for fun.

I'll keep that in mind if i ever leave the car, so you can just turn the fuel pump relay switch off ?

Dont join the dark side and get a nissan, you know your dream will turn from a sr20 to a k20!
GSR are great motors. Yeah the itr has more power but is it really worth the price tag? I keep up to EM1FTW type r pretty well. At the track... well lets just say Brad needs all the power he can get

Huh, it's only certain models

On many Honda's a simple swap over the weekend and torque can be had. Last year i ran a crv engine in my civic, i had no traction at any speed in 1st gear. Year before that, i had an Accord running a Prelude motor, same problem.

Also has a 92 Prelude SR, it had gobbs of torque, stock right out of the box!

I am not a fan of any sohc, performance wise, or the B16A, those are the ones with no jam unless your revving the hell out of it.

you could do a poor mans CTR

B16A, buy CTR/ITR cams and valve springs and you're set.
