compustar 2W8000 auto arming

I just got the compustar 800 combo put into my 02 maxima and i cant seem to set the auto arming so it lock and unlocks within the certain range. I read that im supposed to press and hold button 1 on the remote for 2 seconds but all that does is make the car chirp 3 times. Can anyone help?

hold done key I, for until you the see the auto go away. about 5 seconds.

FYI: If it is a US model it will not have Auto.

no its the canadian model the 8000 not the 9000

Is it an alarm/starter, or just a remote start without alarm?

The 2Wfm8000 Starter does not have an auto function.
It must be an alarm/ starter combp to have the auto function.

Just as a side note......auto arming can be a real pain if you are walking around in your house with your keys and your can is arming and disarming in the driveway;)
