Snowboarding Speech..

So in the program I am in at school, I am forced to take public speaking 305. We are to do an informative speech due on wednesday on something, and I chose snowboarding.
Does anyone have any ideas that I could incorperate into my speech to make it 5 minutes long?
So far I'm going to talk about the evolutioin of the sport, and the origins, when it became an olympic sport etc.. Does anyone have any other ideas I could get in there?

Did this way back when, I included some basic stuff, like goofy vs regular, keeping weight on the front foot, reviews of local hills, info on top Canadian riders, etc... Not hard to hit 5 minutes.

i think if you talk about the history and basics you will cover 5 minutes much easier then it first sounds.

I took a public speaking class as an elective last year for the bird course kind of mark. The beauty of choosing a topic you love is that when you speak about it the passion shows. Or you can choose totally random fun topics like mine... the number 2 pencil.

The average person speaks about 120 words per minute. So you are really only writing about 600 words.

you could add a little bit about our pot smoking gold medalist. What other sport can you smoke a fatty and go out and win an Olympic gold medal? :D

Incorporate the Olympics- there is actually a show on MTV about the Canadian Snowboard Team.
