Microsoft Office 2007

Does microsoft have any plans for coming out with something new?
I like the new powerpoint, but excel and word are just horrible.

I hope they come up with something soon. In the meantime I'm going to install 03 back on my computer.

I love 2007, just takes a few tries to get used to it, I couldn't go back to 2003

2010 is coming out in 2010 (go figure), heard march april time frame

Hated it at first too. Then after a while, you get used to how intuitive the ribbon is and works wonders. I can't use anything but 2007 now. I love it especially for the more in depth formatting control 2007 gives you.

I've already learned the new ribbon bar - it's still ridiculous how much they've hidden away, it's a royal pain in the ass. It's like if they swapped the functions of your pedals and your steering wheel - wheel becomes throttle, pedals become steering. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old way, and you can tell they've just cocking about with something that isn't broken so they can truly claim they've released a new product.

Which they could have anyway, considering Office 2007 documents all use XML instead of binary.

I have the 2010 beta installed. Outlook is nice. To be honest 2007 was fine though.
