How do you enable this for existing gmail accounts set up to fetch? I'm on 3.0.1 and I don't have a push option for my gmail accounts

You have to set up an Exchange account.

make sure push is on under settings>mail>fetch new data, otherwise it won't verify the account when u create it, I only had this problem, everything else is cool.

Well that's no good. You can only set up one exchange account and I have that set up for work.
