So at the park in Elgin (the one by the big hill on the main drag) with my little boy on the swings when next thing "Bang", "Bang" "SWAT TEAM".

Look across the street and there is 10+ Swat members in full gear with assualt rifles, ladders etc and a battering ram. Outta fucking nowhere.

I look around and there are swat members hiding around everywhere... and its right in the middle of a playground zone. Never even noticed them. Down the street they have the sidewalks all closed etc, to keep pedestrians away. But there we are just across the road (like we were for the last 30 min) with a front seat view.

5 minutes later the street fills up with CPS wearing "Gang unit" jackets and the swat team rolls out and into a white cube van.

By now the street is full police vehicles and within another 10 minutes they bring this mid 30's asian dude wearing a purple shirt out of the house in cuffs.

Anyways, no idea who it was - i know Jackie Tran is supposed to live in McKenzie towne somewhere - but it definately wasn't him.

Welcome to quiet McKenzie Towne. :thumbsdow

They should have shot him, execution style in the back of his head, in front of his family.

This is a pet peeve of mine... the police have to make their presence known by announcing themselves as such (eg "OPEN UP, THIS IS THE CALGARY POLICE"

Officers have been shot because they didnt CLEARLY announce their entry and people thought they were being broken into.

"SWAT TEAM" doesent mean "police officer" to stupid people... so either you heard wrong or the CPS **TAC** team (not SWAT) is getting sloppy :dunno:

...probably fell behind on his taxes. You can always trust the government to stay on top of that shit.

Must be garbage collection day. Good to see my tax dollars doing what they are supposed to do instead of fishing for speeders doing 10 over on the highway.

OP, I guess them showing up without you noticing until they're right on top of you is kind of the point.

CPS = , GET RID OF THE SCUM.

I live around the corner from there too. McKenzie Towne is still cool though. Been here a couple of years and wouldn't say it is going down hill at all.

I live in the area-counted 4 CPS vehicles from 52 and 130th to my street. I thought trash day was Tuesdays.
