That is my grandpa haha.
He very rarely takes that car out, maybe one every 4 years:dunno: Nothing really too special aside the fact its an antique.

I've seen this car before, from what I can remember its a younger guy.

Yeah, he is in his mid 30s.

The engine is pretty incredible too. Fully blown. Sounds like two Harleys side by side.

This is what i thought as well, which is why I was surprised when I read that it was that guys grandpa. The guy looked like he was 30-something.

The Top Gear test is pretty limited.

The only way to survive a SMART car crash is to ensure the other vehicle or surface hits the bumper directly.

As soon as a SMART car hits a taller vehicle, the driver guaranteed to be killed in the collision.

There were some pretty gruesome pictures floating around the internet of a SMART car that rear ended a 4x4 truck. The guy basically got cut in two along with the SMART car.

seen a vehicle very simialr to this several times near my work, silverhill, always a very older guys with a helmet or bomber cap and goggles drivin it...

Thats with ANY car that hits a taller vehicle (semi, raised trucks etc). The bumper is designed to be your point of impact in ALL cars.

However the difference is that with most other cars we don't sit 6 inches behind the bumper.

Yes, but the structural rigidity is still a lot greater then that Ford. If both are colliding directly into a wall, what vehicle would you rather be in?
