It's totally real, the reflection of the truck is seen in the quarter panel.

But if you think the wheels were pchopped off, seriously?

+1 for wheel locks I guess.

I doubt wheel locks would do anything - any half-assed car thief can remove them in, what, 2-3seconds max.

I pull mine off as soon as I get any cars with them. Heck, on my z06 one of their teeth was already stripped (looked like somebody used an impact gun with the locking key and it slipped bigtime), so I just hammered the key on and pulled i off, then chucked all 4.

I've always felt that wheel locks mean nothing to thieves, and do nothing but cause the owner headaches.

Even if they were stock the price for the winter wheel package a FC Nissan is around $10000. The tires are expensive.

:werd: Wheels locks, unfortunately, aren't much of a theft deterrent.

Locks only keep out honest people...

Not often wheels get jacked like this anymore... If your car has anything worth stealing, usually they steal the car and take it to a chop shop where they have the time to strip it as they please.

That BBK is worth twice what the rims are

I agree, wheel locks would've done squat.

However, a quality aftermarket alarm with a tilt sensor function probably would've worked to scare them off in this situation. As soon as they tried jacking up the car, an audible alarm could've done the trick.

If they really want your shit, they can and will take it.

Locks and key just keep the kids away.

They should make car alarms with greater capabilities to inform car owners about their cars even miles away. Maybe somehow implement the use of cell phones? I probably wouldn't mind paying a monthly fee for such a service. They already have GPS capabilities these days too.

Its hard to tell from the pic, but I thought these came with slotted rotors stock, plus those things are in pretty bad shape...

I dunno... hard to tell if its real imo.

Theres a company in Edmonton that already offers this type of alarm/starter, you can start your car miles away by texting it, and if your alarm goes off it texts you

Company that makes it is, Titan Innovations

The CompuTrack system on my car 2 years ago could do this. This technology has been out for years. The only crappy thing was the yearly fee.
