Spotted:Vtec Kicked in Yo!!

happened today around 1:30pm at the calgary casino the story was he was on barlow going north and somehow lost control went in the ditch. Then went up on the other side like it was a ramp cleared meridian drive all four wheels off the ground flying through the air smashes in the calgary casino sign and moved the huge rocks and landed on top. Couple minutes later firefighters were first on the scene and the civic turned in to a convertible civic since they had to use the jaws of life to save the guy. I'm guessing he is either is in critical condition or he died.

I was just driving by there 30 minutes before that happened. How the fuck....... ?? That sign is sooooo far off the edge of barlow... Hope the guy is ok!

Would have to gone at least 100 feet up the grass embankment and through a chain link fence - probably closer to 200 hundred feet looking at the angle the car came in at. Weird.

he was alive and moving when they got him out.

he must have been going stupid fast though. I cannot see him coming off barlow since there was no marks and if he did then it is dumb luck he never spun out or flipped before. you would also think he would have scrubbed off enough speed going through the grass and up a hill to not hit the sign so high up.

either way the one good thing to come out of this it seems no one else was hurt or hit in this accident, with that amount of speed and coming through a busy area.. very lucky

Also should mention that there is not a black mark OR a mark in the grass anywhere, where the brakes were applied.

You would think even if you lost control on barlow and went into the grass you would hit the brakes or slide or try to stop. this seems there was no trying to stop at all

Weird.. I've seen a normal civic dx spin out complete 180 for no reason there right in front of me before on that exact off ramp. Dry roads, sunny and middle of the day.

it didn't jump over the road into the sign, you could see where it hit the curb, the grass and then the rocks, THEN it went up into the sign.

I don't think he was on barlow at all but on meriden road and just going really fast as there was no bottom out marks in the grass off barlow anywhere.
