Who can realistically beat Brawn?
Can anybody but Reubens beat Jenson for title?
Could be exciting year-end drama...

sounds like a shitty quali to me :(

Hamilton was delighted to be able to redeem himself after his crash at Monza, and to reward his mechanics for a very long night building him a car round a new monocoque. The integral KERS wiring of his initial chassis showed signs of potential problems, so a new tub was flown out as a precaution. He felt he could have gone at least a couple of tenths faster had he done a second run. On corrected fuel weights, he looks very strong. A frustrated Kovalainen, like the Red Bull duo, did his banker lap on the soft Bridgestone tyre, but was unable to use the set of new super softs that his crew had kept back for his final effort.
i wonder whos private jet was used haha. oh wait thats a flav move.

I was wondering why the BMW's were so quick. Some new parts.

New parts is an understatement haha.

"Everything is new except the steering wheel and the cockpit." according to head of engineering, Willi Rampf, who believes that the new updates will bring nearly 1s in lap time to the car.

Well, Reubens did spoil a few people's last gasp flying lap, but look at the weight of Hamilton's car! He's 9.5 kg heavier than Vettel. I find that amazing. Kovy is a ways back, but he's even heavier. Somebody might be wanting to bet me a sushi dinner on this race....

Button is 22.5 kg heavier than Hamilton, so 32 kg heavier than Vettel. Pit stop strategy is going to be very interesting this race!

When did this happen? When I setup my pics at about 7pm he was still listed as being on the grid. Eitherway my pool picks are completely fucked today!!!

Mclaren win though! That makes me happy. I missed the last 17 laps as I had to leave for work though, what happened to webber?

Heidfeld thing happened overnight. His car was underweight at Parc Ferme so he got a penalty. He also took a gearbox and engine change since he was moved down so far anyways.

As for Webber, his brakes blew up. Shortly after, STR pulled both cars due to brake probs. Vettel eased off, as did Button and Barichello. Button's brakes were so bad at the end it was throwing black smoke up just like Webber's car, and he was basically driving 3-4s a lap slower for the final few laps.

congrats to Hamilton he ran a good race

Sutil fucked up big time too with his little stunt

so much black smoke/dust from the brakes

I am consistently mediocre when it comes to the pool. Rosberg's bonehead mistake cost me bigtime.

DJ Lazy

I think Rosberg cost all of us a lot of points.. :nut:

I royally screwed up, thinking that the Toyota would follow their typical race and drop to the mid-field, out of the points... Sure wasn't expecting a podium.

This article explains why it's a lot to do with luck for us watching from the outside...

Good writeup on teams and directions they went on setup, and how it affected the outcome.

^^ No mention of Toyota in that article?, when they trumped everyone except Mclaren.
