View Full Version : Best noise-cancelling in-ear headphones? ($40-100 range)

I know I made this thread about 3 years ago, and at that time I went with the CX-300 headphones for about $40 through an online price match at future shop. Now thosse have finally broken down on me. I'm wondering what is the best option in today's market in this price range (I made a big range because I'd like to keep price low, like 40-60, but if there's a good deal on a pair of headphones that are substantially better for a little more up to $100, I'd be willing to dish out).

As well, I may decide to go with a pair of over-ear headphones as well. Any recommendations on those? (same price range)

thanks a lot

Shure makes pretty good in-ear sound isolating earphones. Fits like a glove with silicon. I use them on long trips and on the airplane. I believe I saw some at Futureshop, check it out!

thanks for the reply, appreciate it. but i just did some quick research and at this point it seems like for around the same price it's between these two:

nuforce ne-7 (http://www.amazon.com/NuForce-NE-7M-Earphones-Headset-Compatible/dp/B001BL8BO4)

head-direct RE2 (http://head-direct.com/product_detail.php?p=23# )

All reviews seem to rave about them and suggest their worth several times their price. Anyone have any experience with either of these? I like bass but I'm probably bigger on middle/treble if that helps.

Best bang for your buck in that price range are the NuForce NE-7 or (surprisingly) Apple IEMs.
I picked up a pair of the NuForces a few weeks ago and I'm loving them so far.
