Looking for a soy sauce with a salty flavor. I am not a huge fan of the "sweeter" tasting soy sauces.
Thx

Just look for a good non-wheat Tamari. More wheat = more sweet.

Not a huge fan of the Kikkoman stuff. I'm looking for something similar to the Wing's sauce you get from takeout joints.

Great input. It's my understanding that you can't purchase Wing's soy sauce from grocers. It must be purchased directly from their warehouse in a box of 500 individual packets, or a giant jug of it. I am not doing that.

Check this out. http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread/t-215615.html I think having a box full of packets of soy sauce is kind of cool :dunno:
As well I did give you good input:

Go with Yamasa brand. You can get it at TnT. Maggi is not actually soy sauce, but rather "seasoning".

I will check it out, thanks.
Appreciate the useful ones posting information here.
I always use the pearl river bridge brand...I get the "premium" one. Its not sweet at all. Make sure you get the "light" soy sauce.

I really like the Kimlan line. They have a "premium" line that is pretty good. You can also get it at T&T.

go to TnT, there is a wide selection for different type of food.
Lee Kam Kee or Tao Tai have the lighter and less sweet type.

The filipino soy sauce brands are salty. Marca Pina or Silver Swan.
