if the car stays parked overnight and in the morning its cold...how ling should u wait till u drive off? my dealer told me its good to let the car warm up fully (meaning in the middle of the C and H gauge) or else it can cause damage on the engine......true or what?

can someone explain this fully...

thanks

Between 1 and 2 minutes. There is already a thread floating around about warm up times.

You can let it sit for longer, but it does nothing beneficial to your engine.

The cars engine takes about 1-2 minute to warm up, like Link785 said. The reason why some ppl might warm it up longer is to warm up the cars cabin. Having a nice and toasty car to drive off is a treat on a cold and miserable day.
