Mechanical/Project Engineer
My work place is currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Mechanical/Project Engineer for our Calgary office.
The successful candidate will play an active role in our design department and can deliver results that meet and/or exceed our client’s requirements and expectations.
The successful candidate would be responsible for:
- Participate in the development and preparation of the mechanical design aspects of projects
- Knowledgeable in all areas of responsibility of the mechanical department
- Prepare and/or assist in the cost estimates and schedules of equipment for bids and proposals
- Preparation of technical requirements for designs and proposals
The following skills, experience and qualifications in which a candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a mechanical design capacity
- Various experience in piping systems and mechanical equipment
- Process design and equipment selection
- Building Services – HVAC, Controls, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems
- Preparation of drawings and specifications for approval, tenders and construction
- The diversity to work individually or in a team environment
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work with tight deadlines
Additional experience that would be an asset:
- Experience in AutoCAD, MS Project
- Petroleum retail facility design
- Petroleum bulk distribution facility design
- Pipeline design
- Project management
- Project cost estimation
Minimum Requirements
A successful candidate will require the following
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A member of APEGGA and registered as a Professional Engineer or EIT who is eligible for P.Eng
