video card question

I'm looking to upgrade my video card but I'm a little confused about something. I'm not sure what the difference is between a PCI and a PCI-E. Will a PCI-E video card work on a computer with a PCI slot? Are they the same?

NO a PCI-E video card will not work on a PCI slot.. PCI and PCI-E (E = express) are not compatible with each other..

PCI-Express is the next gen version of PCI, its faster and provides more bandwith then PCI...
