Hey everybody! My one year anniversary with my great girl is coming up soon and I was hoping to get a picture taken of us and give a portrait to her as part of a present. I wondering where would be a quality place to get it done at a reasonable price? I want to make this special for her.

There's that photo place in marketmall accross Yogen Fruz near the food coart. Their work looks really good. Might be a bit pricy but you got to pay for good quality stuff. I just can't remember the name for some reason. :dunno:

Godamn that made me laugh hard haha.

Dun worry, he's pro... he spent 2k on his lighting setup and has a video on how to do pro shoots. How many other photographers have watched a video on how to set their lights up!

Aww thanks you guys! Check out my website, www.melindagombert.com

Studio stuff is all well and good, but why not try an on location shoot? Those are often a lot more fun and natural, thus *usually* giving better results

It's all broken down on my site, but until January 1, 2010, it's $200

Haven't seen him around for a while, but add turbomiata to that list. If you and your gf are on snowmobiles, I don't think anyone tops Ekliptix

I'll provide a reference for Melinda. Awesome work, never been happier with a photographer! A++

She'll take great pics for your anniversary. I guarantee it.

+1 Melinda. If you need to see her work in person, I will invite you over to my house.

99% of all the photos hanging on the walls, or in frames to be put up still were taken by her. The photos range from the 2 giant ones I have of the city skyline, my wedding, my son for the past 14 months, random family shots as well as those of my brother/sister in law's family.

Thanks so much guys, I really appreciate it! Unfortunately I am a mere student and I only have about 100 to spend, I'm assuming that wouldn't be enough for just one quality portrait?

P.S I scoped the above photographers work and they were all very impressive!

Iahbrip,

PM Bukka on the forum here.

He is one of the most amazing Portrait Photographers I know. His style is impeccable as well!

$100 isn't going to get you a whole heck of a lot. You need to consider printing and mounting also unless you are just going to email her the picture as an attachment.

wal mart is good... it wont be too fancy... but it will get the job done.. after all its only a 1 year anniversary not a 5,10 or 25.

may be you should treat both of yourself and GF as a volunteer for some photo guys for practice.
someone may agree to do it for free and your cost will be just printing the pics on your own.
if i have time, i wouldn't mind to share such moment with both of you but my schedule seem really tight up.

good luck

I've heard there's a certain person on here who is a self-proclaimed expert at taking photos of people after watching an internetz video. He's so good you'll be begging him to take photos of you wearing lingerie.

He also includes a $95 lunch, but drinks aren't included.

Nobody knows for sure who he is though, he never posts any pictures. Except panos.

And HDR's.
