Well Canon has finished repairs on my old camera and it's on its way back as we speak. It does have one ding on the back of the body where it scraped a tree when I was in maui. Besides that it just has typical wear and tear, small scuffs, etc. I would estimate the number of exposures on the camera to be anywhere from 40,000-60,000 with the camera rated to 300,000.

The camera was fully inspected and tested by Canon so everything is still mint and functioning. To my knowledge they replaced the main circuit board on the camera due to some sort of electrical error in the camera.

Now for the record, those who think the 21.1 megapixels are the same as the 5D Mark II, no where even close. The 1Ds Mark III blows the 5D Mark II out of the water when it comes to quality. It was one thing that was a huge eye opener to me and one reason why I think the 5D Mark II is such a huge flop of a camera. Yay wicked sensor with an ancient system!

I'm going to list the camera here first for $5,000 OBO, no low ball offers will be ignored.

It does come with the original box, lithium battery back (its good for around 2,000+ photos on one charge), the battery charger, AC battery plug in adapter, USB cords, instruction manual, more so everything that came in the box.

This particular camera is approx 11 months old. In any event if you are interested please pm me for details.

Mleh I typed that out wrong lol. That $5,000 is just the beyond price. I'll be placing it on ebay in a couple weeks if it doesn't sell. It'll probably sell around that same area, maybe a little more.

I've had a few emails from beyonders so far though.

I'm going to drop the price to $4,600 for beyond members. I've had a few inquiries on it but no takers. Finally some pictures. I just got the camera today from canon. A couple of the electrical boards were replaced, besides that no other damage was found to the camera.

You can see the slight nick I was talking about in one of the pictures. It happened when we were hiking in Maui in the rain forest/mountains. I slipped and rubbed against this tree. Needless to say, it's just cosmetic.
