Timing belt change is one of the major repairs because it is not easy to replace.

He is asking about the accessory belt, not the timing belt. Learn to read.

if you have a crescent wrench, changing a belt is easy. Usually all belts in all cars have one item that is adjustable. It might be the alternator, or maybe a tensioner, but you just loosen the one item and the belt slips off everything.

Its not hard to fix.

Basics of owning a car is to know this stuff.

Frankly, I'm surprised the owner has not fixed it yet because the fact that 90% of the public wont buy a car thats not working.

This is a spedo problem, probably the cable is loose or messed up somehow. its another $20 fix if you do it yourself. A lot of nissan cars have had this jumpy reading.

The belt has already been replaced if you read the thread. And the car is working.
