View Full Version : Spin-off: Who's down for a Beyond Group-Steal?

I need some new power tools, so here's the plan.

15 or 20 of us meet up at Home Depot. We each take a cart and load up as many power tools as possible into it. We then proceed to and past the self checkout, then scatter (with our carts&merchandise).

Providing we do this fast enough, we can then repeat at Wal-Mart for electronics.

Finally we will proceed to Co-Op to acquire steak, hamburger, drinks, OTC drugs, and anything else we need.

What are 2 cashiers going to do - yell at 20 people exiting the store with shopping carts loaded with merchandise to stop and return said items? Remember, there is strength in numbers!

Sorry, we've got to be rollin' in white pedo vans - how else would we carry all our newly found wares?

That reminds me, first we have to meet at Hertz and Enterprise Rentals to.....borrow....a few vans.

Who's down for a Beyond Borrowing Party 09, before the Beyond Group Steal 09 happens?

I can already see how this ends:

20 guys in 20 panel vans pop up at various times but everyone's too afraid to approach each other in case they're not on Beyond, so they stand in front of their van for 90 minutes, figure no one is showing up and leaves.

When I worked at HD we had one guy do just that. He loaded up a flat cart with ~$6k worth of tools and booked to his truck in the lumber loading area.:burnout:

Also, to the person who jacked up the bags, thanks for making me look like a douche. Those bags came out of my meager paycheque:(

Right, but you see, with 15-20 of us we'll be unstoppable. 1 person you yell at and everybody looks at him, gets his license plate, etc...

15-20 people you can't believe what's happening. We'll have the element of surprise.

I would be more concerned about a couple angry meat-head bounces than one or two minimum wage cashiers at the HD.

I don't see why we can't do that - just because it's a group steal doesn't mean we can't color co-ordinate :D

However, I am a bit concerned as to whether the police would be called or not when 15-20 people walk in wearing pantyhose over their faces? We may not have adequate time to load up our carts with power tools and whatnot.

Am I one of the only ones who thinks this could actually work? Think of how much better it would work with 100 people. Have a set time for everyone to walk in, and a set time to be out the door so it is perfectly orchestrated. It would be similar to 2Fast2Furious when the hundreds of cars come out of the warehouse and all go different directions. There is no WAY they could catch even close to all of us, lol.

I must admit, after I made the post I began thinking to myself 'you know, this could actually work. Well maybe not hitting 3 stores part, but if you hit 1 home depot and did it fast enough, it would work'

The problem with coming in with 50 guys would be a lack of product. A few guys would get some good stuff and the rest of the guys would be left with.....well.....screwdrivers & hammers.

If we can get enough people behind it.

I think the minimum is 15. Right now we're at 13. So another 2 and we'll definitely do it - we're thinking of targeting a SE/SW location, because those neighborhoods are usually calmer and won't be expecting us.

What you guys should be going for is the Sony truck that is loaded with slim PS3 and PSP go that is en-route to Futureshop/Best Buy/Wal-Mart!! You can flip them all on ebay before Xmas!!*sarcasim*****DON'T DO THIS!
