YES! I've seen it before, but thought it was for show and tell...

When I saw it, it was SPEEDING through traffic with its lights on weaving!

Just now a patrol car was doing about 75 down 16 ave west with no lights on, so he was speeding. But he was blipping the lights at intersections to burn red lights. :facepalm:

He did four in a row before I lost sight of him.

So either a call where they didnt want to use lights and sirens so they dont tip someone off or it was a call that didnt warrant a code 3 response but they needed to be there quick. Nothing unusual.

I'm with you on the turning on sirens/lights to burn through lights thing, but I find it worse when they do it to make a turn on a red.

Personally, I try not to hold it against them, because wherever they might happen to be going, they probably need to be there faster then where i'm headed.
